As exclusive dealers for Caprea in the United States, we are pleased to
offer this great line of stainless steel products to our customers. All
items are designed for outdoor use, but also compliment any indoor
decor.
It is very important to winterize your shower unit in the early winter
prior to anticipated freezing temperatures.
Suggested winterization guidelines:
• Turn off water supply to the unit
• Open or remove the faucet/valve handles
• Completely drain all water, and if possible blow out the shower unit
• Remove all accessories: shower head, hand shower, foot shower
This will avoid damage caused from water freezing in the valve
components, shower unit or pipes. Using insulation will not prevent
freezing, but only delay it. To ensure that your shower unit retains
its luster, cover with plastic which also keeps debris from getting
inside.
In terms of maintenance, avoid using any chemical substances and
certainly no abrasive cleaners or metal brushes on the stainless steel.
The surfaces can be cleaned with a nylon brush or scrubber using
any stainless steel cleaner. WD-40 will clean the surface and help
repel water spots. Any small brown spots that appear are not rust,
but simply staining due to surface contamination.
