Dear Mrs. Serrado:
My name is Milagros Carrion. I am a Clinical Social Worker at Central Florida Kidney Centers, Inc.
I was very excited to find out that your organization has an opening for the position of Medical
Community Representative that will become available in January. As a Social Worker in the
Orlando area and working directly with the population you serve, I am fully aware of the
importance transportation is to the clients that use this service. I would gladly like to be a board
member of the Transportation Disadvantage Local Coordinating Board.
I have been a Social worker for over 20 years and most of those years; I have worked in Orlando,
Florida. As you can see by my attached resume, I have always worked with the disadvantaged
population and people with medical conditions. This experience has allowed me to see firsthand
how important transportation is, especially, in the case of some dialysis patients, transportation may
be the only life line they have. Some patients may not have any or little family support. Therefore,
leaving these patients with no other means of transportation to the dialysis clinic(s) if it was not for
the public transportation service you provide. My experience working with client’s transportation
needs as a front line worker can be of assistance to your board.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about this exciting
opportunity. I respectfully submit the attached resume for further consideration.
You can contact me at (407) 425-4415 or email me at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Milagros Carrion, MSW
