Maratona dles Dolomites
Maratona dles Dolomites June 30th, 2013 Alta Badia - Italy From Thursday June 27th until Monday July 1st, 2013 5 days / 4 nights 4 nights at the 5* Sassongher in Corvara Maratona dles Dolomites – June 30th, 2013 2013 With the intention of always improving the quality and the diversity of its programs, Ronan Pensec Travel is happy and proud to have been chosen as one of the official Tour Operator by the committee of the Maratona dles Dolomites. We are now, for the first time in 2013, in a position to offer you a high quality program to this event including accommodation, airport transfers, the services of our experienced and qualified guides as well as a guaranteed entry to the event. Known as one of the most popular sportives in the world, the Maratona Dles Dolomites is even described as "one of the biggest, most passionate, and most chaotic bike races on Earth" by the National Geographic. Like the Etape du Tour in France, the Maratona Dles Dolomites invites you to take in the stunning scenery of the Dolomites, the Italian mountain range that lends its name to the this event. The race is actually divided into three courses of varying difficulty: the Sellaronda course, the Middle course and the Maratona course. All riders start at 6:30am in the village of La Ila and complete the four pass Sellaronda course first. After completing the Sellaronda course, riders can either choose to finish the race or proceed directly onwards with the Middle course. As the Maratona course is an extension of the preceding shorter Middle course, riders wishing to tackle the full Maratona dles Dolomites have to proceed with the Middle course. All three courses lead the riders through the Dolomite mountains around the Sella Group and over roads, where legendary rides by great champions of the Giro d’Italia have taken place. The roads are lined with tens of thousands of cheering spectators and the entire event is broadcast live on Italian national broadcaster RAI. Along the courses seven refreshment stations are manned by volunteers, where riders can strengthen themselves with foods and drinks, varying from sports drink to coffee to Strudel or Speck sandwiches. 2 Maratona dles Dolomites – June 30th, 2013 2013 With this program, we offer you to spend 4 nights in Corvara at the 5* hotel Sassongher on half board basis (bed and breakfast with dinner - wine and drinks NOT included). You will be one of the privileged riders who will be provided with accommodation at the finish, enabling you to ride directly to your hotel once you have crossed the finish line. There you will be able to refresh and take a well deserved rest. Included in this program is the airport shuttle (on day 1 and day 5) from/to InnsbruckKranebitten airport in Austria. The ride from the hotel to the starting line will serve you as a short warming up.
