Kaleidoscope emerged from the acquisition of an established contract framing
business in 1998. From the outset, new ownership changed the focus from high
volume standard products to high quality bespoke services. Today, the commitment
to high quality bespoke manufacturing has not diminished. Even though the product
portfolio is more diverse, it is delivered with the same attention to detail and
responsive approach appreciated by the most demanding clientele.
We have always enjoyed a project and have been involved in co-ordinating a
number of international schemes. There are three project specialists in the
team and they work with purchasers to deliver effective solutions that meet
the brief. We have partnerships with graphic designers, interior designers,
hoteliers, sourcing agents and illustrators among others. No project is too
small and every client is assured of our full attention irrespective of the size
and complexity of the task. From certificate framing to gallery installations,
we have a breadth of knowledge to help you move your ideas forward.

Photographic and fine art
A great proportion of our clients are photographers. We entered the
photographic sector in 2004 following a successful partnership with a
professional photography group. They saw our potential before we did and
we’ve never looked back. First to evolve a full product assembly option,
bespoke sizing soon followed. It took a bit longer to be convinced that we
could be good at printing too. Nevertheless, here we are printing for an
ever increasing number of clients on an increasing variety of media, including fine art giclée.

The addition of a frame slip inside the main frame is often used

Printing is available to complement our full assembly framing service and
is an integral part of the manufacturing process for the other products
that we offer. We do not colour correct, crop or edit images, we simply
print the file as we receive it.

The word Giclée is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray”. Giclée is used to describe a fine
art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality paper. Giclée prints are printed on a variety

If a wall or desktop display doesn’t fit the brief, why not consider a beautiful bespoke folder? Our folder service has been designed with a bias toward
high quality, low volume fulfilment. Purchase empty folders or receive your prints back in their folders ready to go. High volume folders are equally
flexible and attract discounts that make any folder solution affordable. You can design layouts for your folders, even incorporating an extra
design on the inside front cover.
You don’t always need a frame. A mounted print can look exceptional if
it is presented well. Mounts cut to any size, images printed to any size
and supplied with a choice of backing for a neat finish. Foil embossing
and computerised signatures can be applied.

Matrix
Prints are laminated onto 3mm PVC foam board at any size
up to 48X36. The laminated print is then placed into a
linear moulding. There is a range of composite mouldings
that are ideal as a cost-effective yet attractive solution.
3 of the premium ranges are also suitable for box frame

Light Republic Photographic Studio
Matrix is a new approach to the widely available box frame. The frame
is constructed from an adaptation of the Sail framing range. When the
moulding is turned, it delivers a gentle curve away from the subject

ALTERNATIVE
Minimalist products are in vogue. For some, whilst the sharp look is
important, it can appear a little stark. This is when an EDGE solution
is useful. EDGE is available in two styles. The satin finish delivers a
classical style of frame with a wide reveal surrounding the image. The
heavily grained hardwood veneer option delivers a more contemporary
presentation, fitting more closely to the image. Available with either
Canvas wrap or Block inner.

Available at any size up to 48X36, they all have several coats of lacquer
applied prior to stretching. The canvas is stretched, by hand, over a solid
wood frame faced with board to prevent the canvas deforming during
handling. Flush fixings allow the canvas to hug the wall.

A canvas wrap offers a display option with warmth. Utilising a poly cotton
blend material softens the image whilst bringing it to life. Available as a
full image wrap or with coloured edges, the depth of the canvas is also

Introducing the revolutionary magnetic bonded acrylic system
Versa_tile clusters give height as
well as width to a display. Using wall
brackets and a series of strategically
positioned spacers, the bonded
