Description
W . J . Ellis[s] appears to have had a strong connections with the North Wales Coast and the
L l e y n Peninnsular. H e was at one time an hotelier and ran the Ship Inn at Aberdaron. He had
a great interest in the Hotel and Tourist Trade and collected a wide range o f emphemera
relating to it especially for Llandudno.

pamphlet issued by the Western M a i l L t d . which carried the history
of the remarkable religious movement down to the end o f March. It
includes a detailed report o f M r . Evan Roberts' seven days o f silence
at Godre Coed, Neath, the residence o f M r . Rees Jones. A w s t i n
reports on the meetings o f the revivalists - Dan Roberts and Evan

Roberts on their tour through South Wales and Liverpool. He also
reports on a group o f Welsh Revivalists visiting Glasgow and
Paisley. Several women revivalists are mentioned on all the tours and
there are photographs o f several o f the women.
