Interstate Aviation offers the Jeppesen Part 141* Online Web Based Instrument Course or
for those who prefer to do it the good ole’ fashioned way, we also offer the
Textbook version, too! (Part 61*).
The choice is YOURS!
(*NOTE: There is a considerable difference in the amount of logged cross country time required between the Part 141 and Part 61 courses.
Please discuss your options with one of our flight instructors before deciding which course best suit your needs.)
Your first step in becoming an instrument pilot is to purchase your preference of the Jeppesen Part
141 Online Web Based Course or the Jeppesen Part 61 Guided Flight Discovery Textbook
Course ground school kit. Each contains all the materials necessary to complete the ground
portion of your lessons and get you prepared to pass the required FAA Instrument
Written Exam from the comfort of your own home or office!
Once you obtain your kit, you’ll start the course by completing “Lesson 1” online or completing
“Lesson 1” in your textbook. Once your ground session is complete you’ll take to the skies for your
first flight lesson! The Jeppesen Multimedia Training System integrates ground school lessons with
flight lessons to ensure that before every flight you’ll have the required knowledge to succeed.
A Certified Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII) will be assigned to you and will remain your
instructor throughout the course. Your lessons are scheduled at your convenience and can be
reserved up to 3 months in advance on our office computer!

For our students’ convenience, Interstate has three Cessna 172P model aircraft (carb-heat
start-four seater), two Cessna 172R model aircraft (fuel-injected start-four seater) and, our
newest aircraft, a 2007 Cessna 172S G1000 -Glass Panel (four seater).
Interstate has its own Aircraft Maintenance Facilities with FAA licensed mechanics who keep
the aircraft in excellent flying condition. All our aircraft are kept clean and in proper working
order.
Family owned and operated since 1971, Interstate has a family atmosphere that makes you
feel welcome any time you stop by. Our friendly instructors and office staff are always at
hand to answer your questions or show you around the facilities and flight school. Our well
maintained aircraft are also available for your inspection.
All of our courses are “pay-as-you-go” - meaning you pay for each lesson the day of the
lesson. You can put a lump sum of money on an account (which earns about 2% interest) and
draw from that, you can pay at the end of each lesson by cash, check or credit card or you can
leave a credit card on file with us and we will charge that card each time you fly. We will hold
your invoices until the end of the month at which time they will be mailed out to you all together.

The Jeppesen IFR Instrument Pilot Online Training and Test Prep
course contains the quality and detail for which Jeppesen is known.
It covers the necessary subjects and facts along with emphasis on
strong Single Pilot Resource Management (SPRM) and critical
thinking skills. In addition, this course follows the latest FAA PTS so
you know that you are getting the latest and greatest material.
To meet the needs of all types of students the course covers materials
in an engaging manner using text, audio, video and graphics. It
makes the complex simple in its presentations and lessons. It also
provides multiple testing opportunities, both graded and un-graded, so
that you may track your progress easily. You will see FAA test
concepts in context with their educational content so that the concepts
stay with you through your studies and in your flying.
This course offers compelling ground lessons, lesson exams and end
of course exams. The course is delivered on the easy-to-use

MANDATORY U.S. Citizenship Verification
Please be aware that any person seeking flight training to obtain any
certificate or rating from our flight school will be asked to verify their U.S.
Citizenship BEFORE ANY LESSONS ARE GIVEN.
All forms of identification given to the flight school must remain in an UNEXPIRED STATUS
AT ALL TIMES WHILE YOU ARE TAKING YOUR FLIGHT LESSONS
Acceptable forms of ID are as follows:
 An individual’s ORIGINAL or government issued U.S., American Samoa, or Swains Island BIRTH
CERTIFICATE ALONG WITH a government issued picture ID (i.e.: driver’s license)
 An individual’s ORIGINAL UNEXPIRED U.S. Passport
 An individual’s ORIGINAL U.S. naturalization certificate with raised seal, U.S. citizenship and
immigration services (USCIS) or immigration Form N-550 or Form N-570 (Certificate of
Naturalization) together with a government issued picture ID.
 The individual’s ORIGINAL certificate of U.S. citizenship with raised seal, USCIS or INS Form
N-560, Form N-561 (Certificate of United States Citizenship) or A USCIS or INS Form N-581
(Certificate of Repatriation), together with a government issued picture ID.
