These economical CPR manikin's are constructed of soft, realistic vinyl plastic over
polyurethane foam. Features include: long torso for realistic abdominal thrusts, realistic
head tilt and chin lift for opening airway and anatomical landmarks including sternum
and rib cage plus substernal notch. Airway can be easily manipulated to simulate airway
obstruction or choking situations. Also included are three disposable/lung airway
systems and three channel design mouth/nosepieces. Carry bag and kneeling pads

LIFE/FORM® AIRWAY SIMULATION BOARD
The Airway Simulation Board allows instructors to effectively demonstrate a closed
and open airway. Jaw and head are moveable and show an accurate representation
of the head tilt and airway opening or closing. Head is approximately the same size
as a normal adult. Constructed of Plexiglas®.

CPR RECORDING MANIKIN
New and improved CPR Recording Manikin eliminates the challenge every
instructor faces – adequately gauging student performance. This manikin precisely
measures all actions associated with CPR, and compares them to the 2005 AHA CPR
Standards. The results are scored as a percentage of performance compared to
those standards.
No programming or extra equipment is needed. You may attach the device to a
digital projector (not included). To operate, select a performance time span and
initiate the recording. When the student completes their skill test for the length of
time set, the recording device automatically rates the student on a percentage basis
according to the instructor’s preset parameters. For instance, eliminate the
ventilation parameters, and the score will reflect only compression information.
Leave all the parameters active and determine when certifiable CPR has been
performed. Real time instructor evaluations of the student’s performance are
displayed on the laptop screen. The lap top can also be used to show the students
their efforts in real time so they can make necessary adjustments to create CPR
proficiency.
Instructor correction and encouragement changes a poor performance into an
acceptable one. The instructor may print out the performance record and show the
student how much improvement has taken place. Included with the CPR Recording
Manikin are three face pieces, three lungs, carry case, and user information.

CHOKING MANIKIN'S
Realistic manikins available in infant, child, adolescent and obese adult sizes. Each
life-size head and upper torso manikin allows practice of abdominal thrust, chest
thrust and back blow procedures for clearing a blocked airway. Manikins are made
with specially selected durable vinyl to create tactile realism. When correct clearing
procedures are performed, the manikin will expel the object causing an obstruction.
The choking objects provided make excellent practice obstructions. Each manikin
has a rib cage, xiphoid process and suprasternal notch to provide anatomical

This rescue/CPR manikin replicates a wide range of real life trauma conditions that
are likely to confront the rescuer. As a CPR manikin, it can be used for
demonstrating and teaching correct CPR and first aid techniques. Features include
a carotid pulse and the resiliency and weight of a human body for realistic practice
in transport, rescue and lifesaving procedures. The lifelike anatomical landmarks
include: sternum, rib cage and substernal notch and the natural resistance to chest
compressions. The airway ball valve allows the lungs to inflate only if the head is

The Life/form¨ First Aid Arm provides extremely realistic appearance and function to
make your training exercise true-to-life. Looks and feels like a real arm. Synthetic
blood can be made to flow from either the cut on the forearm or from the severed
thumb, or from both at the same time. The severed thumb allows training in proper
care and handling of separated body members. You can regulate rate of bleeding
and create venous or arterial flow. Blood returns to collection tray for reuse. Pressure
points function realistically at wrist and upper arm. Give your training exercise the
actual trauma of an emergency and be certain that your students are prepared!
Students will need to react just as in an actual emergency and select the appropriate
method to control bleeding and treat the wound. Do it all in the convenience of your
classroom with the Life/form¨ First Aid Arm.
Life/form¨ First Aid Arm includes vinyl arm with wound, severed thumb, collection

trainer contains teeth, uvula, vocal cords, glottis, epiglottis, larynx, arytenoids
cartilage, trachea, oesophagus and inflatable lungs and stomach. Additional features
include oral and nasal intubation, bag valve mask ventilation, delivery of
supplemental oxygen, palpation of carotid pulse, ABC assessment, separate right
and left lungs, chest compressions, jaw thrust, IV sites in hand and arm for
venipuncture, intramuscular injection site and rhythm recognition featuring 17
rhythms. Use with manual, semi-automatic and automatic defibrillators (A.E.D.).

This trauma head, in conjunction with our ALS trainer #080, can be used to simulate
numerous trauma situations including anaphylactic shock and Laryngo spasm.
Model includes swelling of tongue and vocal cords. Also has internal and external
bleeding. Can be used with all types of suction units. Accepts Combitube®, E.O.A.,
E.G.T.A., P.T.L. and L.M.A. airways. A cricothyrotomy can also be performed using
this model. Additional features include oral and nasal airways for intubation, bag
valve mask ventilation and delivery of supplemental oxygen.

arrhythmia/pacing simulator recreates 17 adult heart rhythms and 17 paediatric

Pace and defibrillate directly into this interactive 12-lead ECG simulator through
your hands-free defibrillation cable! Simulate electrical capture with your external
pacer. Press simulator capture key to select one of four pre-set pacing capture levels:
70, 80, 90 or 100mA. When pacer current is greater than selected capture level,
paced beats appear on your monitor. Waveforms for pacing include: Sinus Brady
(two), 1st degree A-V block, 2nd degree type I A-V block, 2nd degree type II A-V

Now there is a manikin designed specifically to teach the theory, anatomy, and skills needed
to manage pre-hospital chest trauma, as well as ongoing chest tube maintenance. The right
side of the manikin has two cut-away viewing areas to provide awareness of the anatomical
relationships between the skin surface, musculature, ribs, and lungs. The left side has a
pressurized tension pneumothorax site to relieve air that has accumulated within the pleural
space and is restricting lung inflation. There is also a site where chest tubes may be surgically
placed to treat pleural effusion by draining fluids from the pleural space. The fluid colour,
volume, and viscosity is controlled by the instructor. The Chest Tube Manikin is perfect for
teaching the concepts and mechanics of closed water-seal drainage systems like Pleur-Evac
type units. Manikin comes with two visual sites for chest tube maintenance, five replaceable
surgical chest tube sites, five replaceable pneumothorax chest pads, and hard carrying case.

TRACTION SPLINT TRAINER
Traction Splint Trainer application requires the ability to regulate how much force is
applied to a patient’s leg. Simulaids new Traction Splint Trainer can be set to
correspond to an individual’s body weight. This allows the instructor to determine if
the student is correctly applying the rule of thumb that states "10% of the body
weight traction results in adequate relief for, but no further damage to the patient."
The Traction Splint Trainer can be adjusted for body weights ranging from 100 lbs to
300lbs. The electrical, push button panel makes simplified selection easy. This AC
electrical trainer comes completely assembled and requires attachment to a base to
secure it during training sessions. After applying traction, the deformity of the high
recedes and splint can be applied, including any standard ankle hitch.

This small trainer provides critical anatomic landmarks for training care givers in the
use of the FAST1™. Previous training was done utilizing Pyng Medical’s SIM-STERN
materials without benefit of realistic anatomic landmarks or employing the SIM-IO
trainer on fellow-students (Using Velcro-tipped simulated catheter and SIM-IO
training target patch) but not experiencing the real forces involved in placing the
FAST1™ catheter. With this very transportable trainer, students will be able to
palpate the suprasternal notch for placement of the target patch, place a target patch
on the trainer, and actually insert the FAST1™ infusion catheter using the FAST1™
demonstrator. A replaceable disk lies under the simulator skin surface and is slightly
rotated after each insertion, making at least 10 FAST1™ insertions per disk possible.

Practice and demonstrate standard bandaging procedures. The lower torso is long
enough to allow carrying the bandage around the body over the uninvolved hip at
the level of the iliac crest. (NOTE: There is no embedded, palpable skeletal
material.) Both the upper and lower portions can be used to demonstrate the
attachment of prosthetic devices. The upper torso includes the two arms - one is
amputated above the elbow; the other above the wrist. Both arms are slightly
extended in a patient-like position to facilitate bandaging. The compressibility of the

The Life/form® Tracheostomy Care Simulator is the most realistic approximation of a
patient available today. Careful attention to detail is incorporated into this pseudopatient. Suctioning techniques, proper cuff inflation, dressing changes and other
techniques can be practiced and critiqued. The simulator replicates an adult male
containing oral and nasal passages and all appropriate anatomy - pharynx, epiglottis,
trachea, esophagus, stoma, cricoid cartilage and representative cervical vertebrae.
The chest area contains left and right bronchi and the bronchial tree. The esophagus
dead ends 2" below the trachea opening. The side of the neck and chest area over
the bronchial tree allow viewing of the suction and trachea tube. The viewing
window at the bottom of the simulator shows the location of a suction catheter in the
right bronchus (seen) or left bronchus (unseen). Oral, nasopharyngeal, nasotracheal
and tracheal suctioning can be practiced. Cleansing of the stoma area can be
performed just as on an actual patient. Changing dressings and ties is also possible
and the experience is very close to an actual one. Confidence and practice are at

internal structure differs. One of the simulators is considered normal and contains
normal ovaries, cervix and uterus. The other abnormal simulator has an ovarian cyst;
the ovary has a solid tumor and the uterus is indicative of leiomyoma uteri. Bony

With the Life/form® Male Catheterization Simulator, catheterization can be
practiced just as on a real patient. A lubricated catheter can be inserted in the

Designed to help introduce the essentials of ostomy care to patients and students,
this unit is ideal for demonstration and practice for several procedures. The anatomy
of both a colostomy and ileostomy are carefully reproduced to provide lifelike
functions and appearance. Dilation of the stomas can be demonstrated and
practiced, along with application of postoperative and permanent ostomy bags. The
colostomy can actually be irrigated. Syringes are included to pump materials
through the unit to provide drainage and excretion at the ileostomy and colostomy.
The syringes are inserted through ports in the back of the simulator. One pumps the
ileostomy with clear water, or water tinted for exact realism and the other syringe

Effective Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) treatment of Weapons of Mass Destruction
(WMD) or Chemical-Biological-Radiological-Nuclear-Environmental (CBRNE)
weapons demands a well-trained staff and starts with early recognition of the
hazards at the scene. This new kit from Simulaids contains multiple copies of several
types of wounds associated with WMD or CBRNE attacks.
The new face masks feature the release of fluids to mimic the physiological reaction
associated with these agents, such as sweating, tearing, nasal discharge, and mouth
excretions. The stick-on wounds show Improvised Explosive Device (IED) damage,

Simulaids was approached by a physician after he was involved with a difficult house
extrication of a rather large patient. It became evident that standard patient handling
techniques were not suitable for the extrication of morbidly obese patients. The
physical limitations of the buildings in which some of these patients reside also required
special consideration. The Bariatric Rescue Manikin Suit replicates the weight and the
movement in body tissue associated with morbidly obese patients. This simulation is
made possible by an “exo-suit” which allows the user to add up to 440 lbs of water.
When the exercise is complete, the water can be simply drained away thus making the
manikin more “portable.” The Bariatric Suit fits only the Regular Rescue Randy original
5 ft. 5", bald manikins. For manikin use only.

The Simulaids Training Vest has been designed with the assistance of the
International Association of Fire Fighters (I.A.F. F.) to aid in the physical ability testing
of fire department candidates. The vest weighs 50 lbs., simulating the weight of the
fire fighter’s protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. It is also
designed to allow for the addition of two 121⁄2-lb. weights on the shoulders to
simulate a high-rise pack (hose bundle). The vest, the shoulder weights and Rescue
Randy are exclusively required for the validated Candidate Physical Ability Test
developed by the I.A.F.F./I.A.F.C. Joint Fire Service Wellness-Fitness Initiative.
