Expansion of Fish Creek Thoroughfare Traffic Light
Expansion of Fish Creek Thoroughfare
Fish Creek Thoroughfare is being expanded to four lanes
from Woodforest Pkwy North to Jean Stewart Elementary.
Planned completion: Summer 2014.
Traffic Light Installation
A traffic light will be installed at the intersection of Fish Creek
Thoroughfare and Woodforest Parkway North. The goal is to
have the traffic light operational by late August when Stewart
Elementary opens.
Water Line Construction
San Jacinto River Authority is constructing a water treatment
plant at Lake Conroe and installing 55 miles of water transmission lines to deliver 30 million gallons per day of top-quality,
treated surface water. Segment T3 from Lake Creek Bridge
Crossing to just south of Mulligan Drive is scheduled for
completion by August.
Woodforest Parkway Extension
Woodforest Parkway South – a new bridge is currently under
construction on Woodforest Parkway South that will cross
Fish Creek tributary and connect to Fish Creek Thoroughfare.
Planned completion January 2015.
Honea Egypt Expansion
Plans are underway to widen Honea Egypt from FM 1488 to its
intersection with Sendera Ranch. The approximate mile-long
project will convert the current two-lane roadway into a
five-lane thoroughfare, providing an important north-south
alternative to Interstate 45. Work is anticipated to begin after
completion of the San Jacinto River Authority water line construction in that area.
