Clinical Applications of Allograft
Dr. Peter A. Indelicato, University of Florida’s head team physician
from 1977-2012, is one of the nation’s leading orthopaedic
surgeons in the field of Sports Medicine. He was honored by
his peers as the first-ever recipient of the National College Team
Physician of the Year Award.
Dr. Indelicato attended New York Medical College, completed his
orthopaedic residency training at NYU and spend two years in the
US Navy serving as a staff orthopaedic surgeon at NAS Corpus
Christi, Texas. Following this, he served as a sports medicine fellow
at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic participating in the care of
the Los Angels Rams, Lakers, Dodgers and Kings. In 1977, he
was appointed as assistant professor in Orthopaedic Surgery and
Director of Sports Medicine at UF. In 1993, he was named Medical
Director of the Shands Sports Medicine Center at Hampton Oaks.
In 1994, 1996-1999, 2001-2004, his name was published in “The
Best Doctors in America.” The Southeastern Conference named
him the “SEC Doctor of the Year” in 2002-2003.
Dr. Indelicato has lectured extensively around the country on
the recognition and management of athletic knee and shoulder
injuries.
Caroline (Carrie) Hartill
Executive Vice President and
Chief Scientific Officer, RTI Surgical
Carrie Hartill was named executive vice president and chief
scientific officer of RTI Surgical in July 2013. She joined RTI
in November 2001 and served as Vice President of Quality
Assurance and Regulatory Affairs since 2003. She was named
CSO in March 2007. In June 2010, in addition to her role as CSO,
she was named executive vice president.
In her role at RTI, Hartill oversees all research and development,
quality assurance, regulatory affairs and clinical studies. She is an
appointed member of the Agency for Health Care Administration
(AHCA) State of Florida Organ and Tissue Transplant Advisory
Committee. She has served as a board member for BioFlorida
as chair of the Accreditation Committee, chair of the Quality
Council and board member of the AATB, and as chair for the
Tissue Products Workgroup of the Advanced Medical Technology
Association (AdvaMed).
