The Page Station rear panel offers a variety of auxiliary connectors to expand its
capabilities. Auxiliary audio inputs accommodate accessories such as a secondary
microphone (located near the gangway or rail platform) or other local sources. An
auxiliary output can drive a local amplifier, powered loudspeaker or other destination
device. And a GPIO interface can be configured to use external events to affect
paging operation or to be the source of events to affect external control systems.
Q-Sys Networked Page Stations are designed for both desktop and wall-mounted
installation. All models include a microphone, either handheld (H) or gooseneck (G).
The handheld is a push-to-talk, dynamic paging microphone with a unique magnetic

The CX163 is ideal for leisure, licensed and retail venues providing six stereo line
level inputs, one microphone input with paging mic for each zone. The CX163 has
2 stereo zone outputs + 1 mono utility output (ideal for utility areas such as toilets
and foyers). Music level can be controlled remotely by the RL-1 on both stereo zones
and when operating in mono, each zone can be split into two sub-zones each with

AD-S speakers can be installed completely open to the elements. In fact they have been almost “over-engineered” when it comes to outdoor
use. The grills on the 3”, 5” and 8” speakers are powder-coated aluminium.
For installations near the ocean QSC recommends the following: remove the grill, and squirt some Silicone Gel into the screw holes. The only
metal that is not aluminium or stainless steel are the screws in the front baffle, and if these corrode then they can “bleed” through the grill.
Most of the grill discolouring you see is a result of the screws behind the grill bleeding, and not actually the grill. Also make sure you use the
terminal cup as the copper cable strands can quickly oxidize in outdoor environments.

K Series
The K Family of loudspeakers offer several methods for permanently suspending or flying in an installation; K
Series - There are two methods for suspending each full-range model (K8, K10 & K12). Integrated threaded M10
points on the top, back and side facilitate both vertical (HF on top) and horizontal suspension. Use only rated,
forged-shoulder eyebolts. Each full-range model also offers an optional “Yoke” system that can mount either to
the sides of the cabinet or to the top and bottom. These yokes allow for rigid mounting to structures and flexible
rotation of the speaker system.

Figure 1 illustrates how the K Series may be permanently fixed to a wall using the Yoke bracket, to achieve
either Pan or Tilt.
Figure 2 illustrates how the K Series may be permanently fixed to the ceiling, with the horn either inside or
outside (when oriented horizontally), and the horn top or bottom (when oriented vertically).

The KW122 has the following installation M10
suspension points:

The KW122 can be suspended vertically via the top
M10 pick points with the rear M10 point available as
a pullback for proper accurate angling. The KW122
can also be suspended horizontally using the
optional KW122 Suspension Kit. This kit includes
two M10 forged eyebolts and a pull-back “bar”. When
suspending horizontally, the eyebolts may be fitted
to either side allowing you to orient the HF waveguide
to the inside or outside.
The KW152 and KW153 both feature the
same installation M10 suspension points:

KLA Power Module
The KLA Series is comprised of two models, the KLA12 12-inch, 2-way
loudspeaker and the KLA181 18-inch subwoofer. The KLA12 features a highly
efficient 500 watt by 500 watt power amp module and the KLA181 offers the
same highly efficient power amp module in a 1,000 watt configuration. This
efficient design enables up to five KLA models (any combination of KLA12 and
KLA181) to be driven off of a single 15 amp, 120 volt electrical circuit.
KLA loudspeakers incorporate QSC’s
DEEP™ DSP algorithm - providing
extended bass response by actively
managing potentially damaging
low-frequency transients - and
GuardRail™ circuitry protection which
prevents the amplifier module from
unnatural and destructive clipping.
As an energy saving feature, the Auto Standby mode automatically engages after five minutes of inactivity but upon resumption of
audio signal, the power module on the KLA will awaken instantly for immediate output.
In an installed application, multiple KLA Series loudspeakers can be “daisy-chained” for total gain control from a single remote pot
wired to the on-board Phoenix-style connector. Additional power module characteristics on KLA include a balanced, line-level XLR input
in parallel with an XLR “Thru” connector, PowerCon™ In and Thru connectors, Attenuation Control and LED indicators for Signal, Limit,
Power and Standby status.
Rigging & Deployment
For maximum deployment flexibility, KLA loudspeakers can be either ground deployed or flown. As a ground stack,
up to two KLA12 enclosures can be mounted over the KLA181 or the KW181 subwoofer via a threaded pole socket, or
without a sub using an appropriately rated loudspeaker stand.
KLA12 enclosures also feature the Tilt-Direct™ 35mm pole socket allowing the loudspeaker to be aimed downward 9°
for the best audience coverage.
Arrays of up to 480 lbs (218 kg) (with a maximum five KLA12 and two KLA181 enclosures) can be flown via the
included M10 fittings or the optional KLA AF12 array frame.

ILA is a line array system designed specifically for installation. ILA
System v2 is a complete system consisting of line array, subwoofer,
processing, amplification and suspension accessories. The result is
an accessible system with very high performance, moderate cost and
ease of deployment. The ILA is made to be used with CMX amplifiers
and the SC28 processor.

The SE Series from Inter-M are ideal for a wide variety of applications such as houses of worship, night clubs, performing arts facilities, fitness
centres, auditoriums and educational establishments for both portable and installed systems. Trapezoidal in shape, the optimised enclosure
design is constructed from high density MDF. Each model is equipped with 35mm pole mounts in the base of each cabinet, and multiple
embedded M8 fixing points allow the fitting of appropriate bracket work or flying hardware.
Inter-m’s SB Series subwoofers are perfectly suited for use with the SE series loudspeakers. Made with high quality rigid plywood and heavyduty aluminium die-cast frames, and equipped with 35mm pole socket.

Conical Wave Guide
There are a few basic concepts that guided the design of the K and
KW Series waveguides and helped achieve its overall impressive
sound quality. The understanding that the best, most natural
performance in a horn is achieved by avoiding parallel surfaces and
abrupt changes in contour. This will cause phase and acoustical
impedance problems that lead to erratic frequency response. By
keeping this concept in mind, QSC created the large, well-behaved,
conical waveguide found on K and KW Series. The sonic benefits,
both on and off axis will be clear when you listen for yourself.
Connectivity
The K and KW Series are capable of connecting to just about any
audio source – a microphone, MP3/CD player, a musical instrument
or mixing console. Inputs can also be combined and mixed at
the rear-panel. For instance, a microphone and CD player can be
combined for background music with announcements. Or, a musical
instrument, MP3 player and microphone can all be combined
for solo entertainer applications. Neutrik™ Combo XLR/1/4” and
RCA inputs are featured, as well as XLR outputs for either daisychaining multiple K or KW Series speakers or providing a mixed
output to an amplifier, mixer or other audio device. The KW Series
also features a four-position Mic/Line Gain switch, allowing for
connection to an even wider range of input devices with minimum
noise and maximum headroom.

KLA Power Module
The KLA Series is comprised of two models, the KLA12 12-inch, 2-way
loudspeaker and the KLA181 18-inch subwoofer. The KLA12 features a highly
efficient 500 watt by 500 watt power amp module and the KLA181 offers the
same highly efficient power amp module in a 1,000 watt configuration. This
efficient design enables up to five KLA models (any combination of KLA12 and
KLA181) to be driven off of a single 15 amp, 120 volt electrical circuit.
KLA loudspeakers incorporate QSC’s
DEEP™ DSP algorithm - providing
extended bass response by actively
managing potentially damaging
low-frequency transients - and
GuardRail™ circuitry protection which
prevents the amplifier module from
unnatural and destructive clipping.
As an energy saving feature, the Auto Standby mode automatically engages after five minutes of inactivity but upon resumption of
audio signal, the power module on the KLA will awaken instantly for immediate output.
In an installed application, multiple KLA Series loudspeakers can be “daisy-chained” for total gain control from a single remote pot
wired to the on-board Phoenix-style connector. Additional power module characteristics on KLA include a balanced, line-level XLR input
in parallel with an XLR “Thru” connector, PowerCon™ In and Thru connectors, Attenuation Control and LED indicators for Signal, Limit,
Power and Standby status.
Rigging & Deployment
For maximum deployment flexibility, KLA loudspeakers can be either ground deployed or flown. As a ground stack,
up to two KLA12 enclosures can be mounted over the KLA181 or the KW181 subwoofer via a threaded pole socket, or
without a sub using an appropriately rated loudspeaker stand.
KLA12 enclosures also feature the Tilt-Direct™ 35mm pole socket allowing the loudspeaker to be aimed downward 9°
for the best audience coverage.
Arrays of up to 480 lbs (218 kg) (with a maximum five KLA12 and two KLA181 enclosures) can be flown via the
included M10 fittings or the optional KLA AF12 array frame.

The QSC WideLine is a full range line array loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide
variety of venues, ranging from ballrooms, theaters and nightclubs to concert halls, houses of
worship and arenas. The WideLine features an open, natural sound quality and exceptionally
wide 140° horizontal coverage pattern - the widest of any line array system currently available.

WHIRLWIND QBOX
Generate into your monitor your sound system at ANY point with this one indispensible tool.
It features:
˭˭ A handy MONITOR switch that allows the user to listen to an balanced signal or to separate
unbalanced signals on pins 2 or 3 (referenced to pin 1), such as a two-channel intercom.
˭˭ A switch that unconnects the two XLRs from each other
so tone can be sent out of one while you listen to what’s
coming back on the other. Or connect the XLRs together
and “loop-through” or daisy chain units.
The Qbox is the all-in-one audio line tester ideal for
applications such as live sound, maintenance, installation
work - anywhere audio runs down a cable. The Qbox includes
a microphone, a speaker, a test tone generator, outputs for
standard headphones. a 1/4” jack for line-in or a 2k Ohm
(telephone) earpiece out, plus vlotage presence LEDs for
confirming phantom or intercom power.
WHIRLWIND TESTER
This versatile cable tester checks most cable connector combinations. It tests most cable combinations of XLR 1/4” or RCA
phono plugs for shorts, opens, and polarity reverse.
The hands-free design allows manipulation of the cable to locate intermittents. An On/Off switch is provided with an LED to
indicate sufficient testing power. Belt clip included.
WHIRLWIND SC48RJ
The SC48RJ tester provides rapid, positive testing for NL4 and NL8 type multiline speaker cables, RJ45 type data cables and XLR
cables.
Rotating the central switch applies voltage to the cable conductors one at a time. A SEND LED indicates the pin to which the
voltage is being applied, and a RECEIVE LED indicates where it returns.
This system clear reveals shorts, opens, and cross-wires, allowing you to test common combinations of speaker cables.
WHIRLWIND MCT-7
This diagnostic cable tester has connectors for analyzing almost any type of cable combination.
The convenient rotary switch allows testing of each conductor within the cable and can determine the internal wiring
configuration.
Tests NL4, 5 pin DIN, BNC, XLR, TRS, RCA and 3.5mm types.
