About our workshops
Orthomed are not just about selling products. We are highly committed to helping develop the industry and the
people that work and excel in it. Over the years we have obtained a vast amount of knowledge and experience
and the people we work alongside are leading industry specialists. As a result of this, we are able to offer
high-level training courses globally on a variety of subjects. Held all across the UK, we run a minimum of two
workshops a month.
These courses range from TTA for canine cruciate disease, RidgeStopTM for Patella Luxation, our new
introduction to orthopaedics to the 3 day spinal surgery. Our courses which are either a half or full day are a
balance of theory and practical and are open to all veterinary surgeons and general practitioners regardless of
level or experience. Our courses even allow you to take home the sawbones you’ve been practising on free of
charge as well as any implants used on them.
We take our education very seriously and once the course finishes, the support we offer doesn’t. Our sales and
technical team are available to answer questions and offer advice whenever needed.

Malcolm Ness is recognised globally as a specialist in Small Animal Surgery by RCVS and ECVS.

Dr Kraus is Chief of Small Animal Surgery at Lloyd Veterinary Medical Centre at Iowa State University
Tommy graduated in 1994 at the University of Veterinary Science in Budapest, Hungary, after which he

since 2009 he has been chief resident for small animal surgery at the Tierklinik Lüneburg in Hannover.
For the last few years he has been lecturing in TPLO, TTA and arthroscopy. He is also an associate of
computer tomography for the DGK and DVG.
Dr. Early is a graduate of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent two years
at Cornell University, where he first completed a small animal rotating internship, followed by a second
year as a staff veterinarian. He completed a Neurology/Neurosurgery residency at North Carolina State
University and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He presently
serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in Neurology and Neurosurgery at NCSU and provides regular
locum work at multiple university and specialty hospitals throughout the country. Dr. Early’s special
interests include neurosurgery, specifically decompression and stabilization techniques.
