ince being founded in 1938 by local upholsterer Harold Hutchings, the
ethos of quality, creativity and craftsmanship has remained at the forefront
of the Duresta business.
From humble beginnings, Duresta has established a strong reputation for
making the finest upholstery. To this day, every piece of Duresta furniture is
handmade by the craftsmen and women in our workshops in Long Eaton,
Nottinghamshire.
Throughout our long history, the designs of Duresta furniture have changed
and evolved with the style of the times. We have mastered and refined the
traditional methods of furniture making from the hand cutting of the fabrics,
to the unprecedented pattern matching and the joinery used in making solid
hardwood frames, all of which our reputation was built upon.
Duresta are proud to have created an exclusive collection for John Lewis.
Together, we have carefully selected sofas and chairs to suit any lifestyle and
look, teamed with a stylish range of fabrics allowing you to create that perfect
