Bachman Homes recently remodeled one
of our legacy homes.
Our customer needed
a larger entry area with garage
access as well as additional
finished space on the second
floor for a family room. In addition,
s ome
family members
have allergies, so
all carpet on the
second floor was
replaced
with
maple flooring to
match the stairs
and first floor. Thank you Quality Hardwoods.
s Home Construction 101 s
Over the course of the next year we’re going to identify key milestones when building a
custom home. Every month a new step is identified, complete with photographs so you
can visually follow the progress.
Step 5: Framing
Framing includes not only
the floor structure (joists)
but the deck (floors) and
stud walls. The roof is typically built with engineered
trusses. Once this process
is complete the windows are
set.
Fireblocking is also
complete prior to a required
inspection.
