Bournemouth
Parkrun
What is Bournemouth parkrun?
It is a 5km run - it's you against the clock.
Website: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/bournemouth/
When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.
Where is it?
The event takes place in Kings Park Athletic
Stadium, Kings Park Drive, Bournemouth, BH7 6JD.
See Course page for more details.
Bridport and
District U3A
Lunch Club 1
What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! but please register before your
first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don't
forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode
(request a reminder). If you forget it, you won't get a
time.
“The group usually meets on the 3rd Thursday of
the month but can be flexible. By its nature it is
mainly a social get together and we share interests
and experiences and discuss topics raised by
speakers from the U3A monthly meetings.
We decide democratically amongst the group where
we will eat the following month and we have
enjoyed a range of different venues such as
Haddon House, The George at Chideock, ‘Montein’
the Thai restaurant, Mangerton Mill, the Egg Cup,
Washingpool, Hive Beach Café and Avenue in
Bridport to mention a few. Being a tourist area there
is a wealth of places to choose from and we have
only been back to the same place once or twice
over the three years we have been going. We must
run out of venues eventually!”

Lunch Club 2
“Lunch Club 2 generally meets on the 3rd Tuesday
of the month. This is a social event when we can
meet together to exchange news and views, and it
is an opportunity to sample our many excellent local
restaurants and pubs. Each month a different
member can choose the next venue and undertake
to make the booking, so eventually we can all get to
our favourite place.”
