Ally is a rising junior at Ithaca High School, and has been in shows with R2P, DeWitt Middle School, Ithaca High School, and Ithaca College. Favorite roles include “Duckling” in Honk!, “Mole” in Wind in the Willows, “Rebel” in Urinetown, “Duffy/Annie Understudy” in Annie, “Agwe” in Once on this Island, and a Children’s Chorus member in The Little Prince. When not on stage, Ally enjoys dancing at Ithaca Academy of Dance, singing, and playing oboe and piano. She would like to thank everybody who was part of the production and her parents for always supporting what she loves to do. Enjoy the show! ANTHONY NIGRO was a theatre major. In the fall, Anthony will be attending Pace University in NYC, working toward a BFA in Acting. Favorite productions at Interlochen include Blood Wedding and These Young Men and Women. This is Anthony’s 13th production with R2P. Favorite R2P productions: Urinetown and Romeo and Juliet. “Thank you so much to everyone who has made this possible! Enjoy the show!” ARIANA RIVERA (Angie/Ticket Agent): Ariana will be a sophomore this fall at School of the Arts in Rochester, is looking forward to performing at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh next summer, and is thrilled to be in her sixth R2P show. Favorite roles include “Lucy” in Avenue Q, “Nancy” in Oliver!, “Mazie” in Seussical, and the “Wardrobe” in Beauty and the Beast. Other shows include Peter Pan, Joseph....Dreamcoat, and Singing in the Rain. When not performing, Ariana enjoys singing, dancing, watching YouTube, and hanging out with her friends. Ariana thanks R2P for letting her spend the summer with them and for all that they do. She also thanks her friends and family for all their love and support. Enjoy the show! BAYLEY WIVELL (Imelda Marcos Impersonator/Ensemble): Bayley is so excited to be in her second R2P Honk!, and it was an amazing experience! Outside of R2P she enjoys singing with Vitamin L, playing with the Cornell Chinese Music Ensemble, participating in the Ithaca track team, and being involved in school choir activities. She wants to thank everyone in the company for being so nice and welcoming. She also would like to thank Gail for organizing everything so nicely, as well as Joey, Jeff, and Emily for being amazing directors. Last of all, she would like to thank her family for keeping up with her extremely busy schedule! “Enjoy the show!” BRETANA TURKON (Bridesmaid/NYC Waitress/Secretary/Ensemble): Bretana is very excited to be in her 15th production with R2P! You may have seen her last season as “Amber VonTussle” in Hairspray or this season as “Emily” in A Christmas Carol. She also has been in productions with the Trumansburg Central Schools and Shakespeare in the Basement. Bretana also was Assistant Stage Manager for R2P’s Oklahoma! “I extend a huge ‘thanks’ to all who made this such a great experience! That includes the fabulous production team, crew, cast, and everyone else involved!” CALEB HARRIS (Best Man David/Mookie/Suit/Bum/Billy Idol Impersonator): Caleb recently graduated from IHS and can’t wait to attend orientation in just a few short days, as he heads to SUNY New Paltz in August as a theatre major. This is his eighteenth (!!!!!) show with R2P. Previous stage appearances include “Juror 10” in Twelve Angry Men at IHS, and “Young Marley” in A Christmas Carol and “President Roosevelt” in Annie, both through R2P. Caleb also has been on the technical crew for both IHS and R2P on numerous occasions, most often as a light board operator, assistant lighting designer, or lighting designer. He enjoys spending his free time playing piano, skiing, swimming, or playing Ultimate. He would like to thank his incredible family, all the members of R2P, and all persons in the audience today for their continued support, sponsorship, and love. Finally, he would like to dedicate this show to his grandfather, Robert Harland Harris, whom he loves and misses very much. CALI NEWMAN R2P and you may have seen her recently in Honk! as “the Red-banded Duck” (Grace). When not on stage, Cali likes to hang out with friends, belt “Heart Attack” by Demi Lovato, and eat. CHRISTIAN HENRY (Randy/Best Man/Suit/Ensemble): Christian is very excited to be in his third R2P production. He will be in 9th grade at IHS this fall. In his free time he loves to sing, dance, eat, sleep, and hang out with friends. He was in the ensemble of Honk! and “Bert Healy” in Annie, both with R2P, in the ensemble of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at IHS, and “Nicely Nicely Johnson” in Guys And Dolls Jr. at Boynton Middle School. He would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him. CRYSTAL CASSELBERRY (Secretary/Ensemble) is very excited to be performing in her 3rd R2P show. Crystal is a rising 9th-grader at Ithaca High school. With R2P she was a “Servant” and “Hooverite” in Annie and “Snowy the Goose” in Honk! She also has appeared at Boynton Middle School in Beauty and the Beast, State Fair (Violet) and Guys and Dolls (Hot Box Girl). In addition, Crystal has been involved in her school chorus and Treble ensemble for the past three years. Crystal would like to thank her family for all their support. Enjoy the totally rad show! DAVID L. ARSENAULT (Scenic Design): R2P productions: Charlie Brown (lighting), Romeo & Juliet (lighting), Thoroughly Modern Millie (scenery and lighting), Oklahoma (lighting), Urinetown (scenery), and Into the Woods (scenery, upcoming). Kitchen Theatre productions include: The Whipping Man and Call Me Waldo. Among many world premieres, recent NYC productions include: I Wanna Destroy You, The Real Thing, Methtacular!, As Wide As I Can See, The Eyes of Others, Call Me Waldo, A Charity Case, and Broadway Bares: Happy Endings. Her most recent R2P roles include “The Ghost of Christmas Past” in A Christmas Carol, “Lily St. Regis” in Annie, and “Queenie” in Honk! She loves singing with the Ithaca Children’s Choir, taking lessons with her wonderful voice teacher Sharon, dancing with Ithaca Ballet, and eating Ramen noodles. Enjoy the show! ELLA LEÓN-EVANS (Ensemble/Friend of Jared): This is Ella’s 2nd production with R2P, having appeared in Honk! this Spring. When not acting, Ella spends time with her family and her 10-year-old puppy, Brunie. She was in Guys and Dolls and the annual Variety Show at Boynton Middle School. Ella is so glad to be working with all the incredible people that make R2P so much fun. She thanks her Mom for her unending support. Gracias a Papi. EMILY LOEWUS (Choreographer) is pursuing a BFA in Acting at Ithaca College, with a minor in Dance. With R2P, Emily choreographed Annie, and in A Christmas Carol, assisted choreographer Steve Moore and also was Dance Captain. Emily was a Local Teaching Artist for Camp Broadway! in NYC with director Tony Parise and choreographers Sue Delano and Cindy Thole. Emily taught Tap and Jazz dance at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts, and assisted jazz/tap teacher Lisa Harvie at Steps on Broadway, where she also trained in the Pre-Professional Advanced Musical Theater Dance program. Favorite roles include The Family Fiorelli (Lena) at the York Theater in NYC, Hate Street (Hannah) at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, The Crucible (Abigail Williams) at French Woods Festival, The Tempest (Ariel) at Poly Prep Country Day School, Reasons to be Pretty (Steph) at Connecticut College, and Finian’s Rainbow (Sharon McLonergan) at Poly Prep, for which she was awarded the Gershwin Award in the National High School Musical Theater Awards. FELIX FERNANDEZ-PENNY (George): Felix is thrilled to be assuming the role of George in R2P’s production of The Wedding Singer. You may have seen him in other roles including “Ugly” in Honk!, “Mr. Fezziwig” in A Christmas Carol, “Ali Hakim” in Oklahoma, and “Edna” in Hairspray. Felix would like to thank his mother Maria, his vocal coach Thom, his best friend Naomi, and all the other people who have been instrumental in the production process. Felix will be entering his senior year at Ithaca High School in the Fall. Please sit back, relax, and enjoy The Wedding Singer. FINN KELLMURRAY (Ensemble/Friend of Jared): Finn is so happy to be in his fourth R2P production! He has appeared in several Ithaca Ballet productions, most recently dancing as a stingray in The Little Mermaid. Finn is homeschooled at the Plain Street Academy for Creative Boys. He enjoys playing piano, listening to David Bowie, writing, and being creative. A thank-you goes to all the members of R2P for a lot of hard work. Enjoy The Wedding Singer! HANALEI BERG (Holly), a rising Sophomore at LACS, is extremely pleased to offer you a trip back to the glamour of the 80s. This is her 7th show with R2P. She was in R2P’s A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Mops/Goodie Dancer), Oliver (Mrs. Sowerberry), Hairspray (Ensemble), and Joseph....Dreamcoat. She also was wardrobe supervisor for Annie. Hanalei likes to sing loudly in the ungodly hours of the night to the point at which she annoys her parents to death. She also enjoys working at Sew Green, taking voice lessons with Sharon Costianes, and chillin’ with her homies. She would like to thank her parents for being her chauffeurs and the whole artistic team for creating this amazing show. She hopes you enjoy the mullets and the perms and all that the 80s has to offer! ILANA WALLENSTEIN (Linda) is totally pumped to be in her 8th show with R2P! Other totally rockin’ shows that Ilana has appeared in are R2P’s Annie (Miss Hannigan), R2P’s Urinetown (Soupy Sue), LACS’s Wizard of Oz (Glinda), The Hangar Theatre’s production of Ragtime (Little Girl), and many others. She wants to thank everyone who has made this show the bombdigity to work on. So crimp your hair, put on some wicked eyeliner, and get amped because this is going to be one radical show! Let’s party! ILANA WILENSKY (Ensemble/Friend of Jared) is happy to be in her 4th R2P production. Previously, she was an “Orphan” in Annie, and in the ensemble of Oliver and Oklahoma. She’s looking forward to being in more shows next year. When not on stage, she likes to hang out with her sisters and friends. IMRI LESHED (Jared Shapiro/Ensemble): Imri is so excited to be in his 2nd R2P production! Imri is in 7th grade at Dewitt Middle School, where he was in Annie Get Your Gun (Mr. Wilson), Much Ado About Nothing (Verges), and Macbeth (Captain/Doctor/ Murderer). At Hangar Theatre’s Next Generation he was in Willy Wonka Jr. (Ensemble) and Seussical Jr. (Jojo). When Imri is not participating in a show, he likes to ski and travel. He would like to thank everybody who is part of the show. JAMES HARROD (Bad Haircut Guy/Ensemble): James is thrilled to be part of his 4th R2P production! He performed in R2P’s A Christmas Carol and Annie, and played the “Turkey” in the recent production of Honk! In addition to acting, James enjoys playing the violin, listening to music, and playing “Magic the Gathering.” He is excited to be starting 7th grade at DeWitt Middle School next year. James would like to thank his parents for being so supportive and his friends for their great advice. He hopes you enjoy the show! JEFF COX (Music Director) is an active music director, jazz pianist, and theatre musician based in Ithaca. He has musically directed productions starring Broadway actors, college students, and elementary through high school students. Jeff has worked as a music director, audition accompanist, and pianist at Hangar Theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre, R2P, and SUNY Cortland Theatre. As a jazz musician, Jeff gigs in the Ithaca area as a bandleader and pianist, and he helped found Cornell University’s Northstar Trio jam session. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Cornell University and is currently a graduate assistant at Ithaca College School of Music, where he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in conducting. LAURA FEGELY (Crystal/Suit/Ensemble): Laura is happy to appear in yet another R2P show! You may have seen her earlier this season in other R2P productions such as A Christmas Carol, Annie, and Honk!, or maybe in Ithaca High School’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. When she isn’t in rehearsal, Laura enjoys playing frisbee with her dog, spending way too much time on YouTube, and singing in the shower. She would like to thank her dad for his ongoing support. Enjoy the show! LISA PODULKA (Bridesmaid/Sideburns Lady/Suit/Ensemble): Lisa, a rising Sophomore at IHS, is thrilled to be in her 12th R2P show, and this will not be her last! Her favorite R2P role was “Lowbutt” in Honk! At Cortland Repertory Theater, she played “Pippa” in Spider’s Web and was a child ensemble member in Joseph...Dreamcoat Much Ado About Nothing. Off-stage, she enjoys singing in Vitamin L, dancing at Cortland Performing Arts, and petting her cats. Thank you to Jeff, Gail, Joey, Emily, and everyone else who helped with this production, especially to rehearsals. MADDIE VANDENBERG (Rosie) is so excited to be movin’ her thang in her 13th R2P show! She is a rising junior at Ithaca High School and recently played “Ida” in R2P’s Honk! Favorite past shows include A Christmas Carol (Fred’s Child/Dance Corps), Urinetown (Rebel), Hairspray (LouAnn), and Music Man (Gracie Shinn) with R2P; How To Succeed In Business… (Smitty) with IHS; various shows with the Hangar Theatre’s Kiddstuff; and Henry V with the Stratford Shakespeare School. Maddie dances at Ithaca Ballet, plays violin at Ithaca Talent Education, and is a member of Vitamin L. She would like to thank her voice teacher Sharon Costianes, Joey, Gail, Emily, Jeff, her parents for being so fantastic, all the designers, the cast, and everyone else involved in this production! Enjoy the show! MALAMA SOKONI (Groom Shane/Ricky/Suit/Ensemble): Malama is very excited to be a part of an R2P plays such as Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night. Oklahoma at Dewitt Middle School, and The Pajama Game and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at Ithaca High School. He couldn’t be happier to be in The Wedding Singer, and he is very thankful to everyone involved for making MATTHEW SKROVAN (Chad/Father of Bride/Suit/Ensemble): Matthew is very happy to be a part of his 4th R2P Show and is excited for you to see it! Over the past year, Matthew has been in three musicals with R2P, playing “twelve-year-old Scrooge” in A Christmas Carol, an ensemble member in Annie, and most recently, “The Cat” in Honk! He also will be in R2P’s Into the Woods this summer as “Jack.” But the show you are about to experience is unlike any other you’ve seen folks, so sit back and enjoy this hilarious musical full of bad jokes and big hair! MOLLY WESTBROOK (Stage Manager) is a rising senior at IHS. This is her 9th show with running to Manager for Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog with Take Ten, as well as Spot Operator for Annie (R2P) and Light Board Operator for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (IHS). She would like to thank Gail for everything she has taught her, and the entire crew and everyone who has given her a ride during the show. Enjoy! NICOLE ROSSI Having just graduated from Trumansburg High School, she looks forward to attending the University of Buffalo and majoring in public relations. Nicole has been involved in this marvelous company since seventh grade, taking part in many incredible shows including Romeo and Juliet (playing “Juliet”), Hairspray, and Urinetown. She is going to miss this company very much and would like to thank Gail, Joey, Todd, Steve, Mikey, and all the other incredible people behind R2P. SARAH STANDINGER (China Lady/Bridesmaid/Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her second R2P production! Sarah served as a production assistant in R2P’s recent production of Honk! and is excited to be on stage this time. Sarah recently graduated from Candor High School and will attend SUNY Fredonia in the fall. Her most recent roles include “Catherine” in Ti-Ahwaga Community Player’s production of Pippin, and “Babe Williams” in Candor Central School Dramatic’s production of The Pajama Game. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys drawing and spending time in the great outdoors. Enjoy the show! SARAH STRUPP-LEVITSKY (Bridesmaid/Secretary/Ensemble): Sarah will be a junior at Ithaca High CSMA’s Star Search program, and was a guest choreographer in several of these shows. She has been a member of the Ithaca Academy of Dance competition team for the past six years, with training in many styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and acrobatics. She would like to thank her parents and friends for supporting her in the show. SOPHIA TANTILLO (Tiffany/Ensemble): This is Sophia’s third year and ninth show with R2P! Later this summer, she also will be in R2P’s Into the Woods. Past R2P roles include “Dot” in Honk! and “Scrooge’s Mother” in A Christmas Carol. This show has been great and Sophia’s enjoyed helping out with ASM-ing in the beginning of the process. She would like to thank all her friends in the show and in the company, the Tburg folks for the carpools, and her parents and her sister for everything, and gives a special thanks to Joey, Gail, Emily, Jeff, and the entire production team. ST. JOHN FAULKNER (Robbie Hart) is thrilled to be in his 8th R2P show! You may have seen him recently as “Bud Frump” in Ithaca High School’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Other favorite roles include “Link Larkin” in Hairspray, the “Scarecrow” in The Wiz, and “Billy Crocker” in Anything Goes. When not on stage, he devotes most of his time to his real band, “Starts on Friday.” St. John will be attending Ithaca College in the fall for a dual degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance. SAVANNAH (VANNA) PLEIL (Bride Donatella/Ensemble): Vanna is absolutely delighted to be in her fourth R2P show! A junior attending IHS as an exchange student from Hamburg, Germany, Vanna was in R2P’s Honk! (Henrietta) and Shakespeare in the Basement’s Much Ado About Nothing (Conrad). Vanna would like to thank the entire R2P family for adding so much joy to her life and her American family for in an R2P production! Now, sit back and enjoy The Wedding Singer, with all the glory RUNNING TO PLACES STAFF GAIL BELOKUR (Resident Producer and Co-Artistic Director) received her BA in Drama from Ithaca College and has worked professionally with young people in the performing arts in Upstate New York for costume and lighting) for all R2P shows plus dozens of other plays, musicals and dance recitals for middleand high-school students. As founder and artistic director of New Vine Productions, Gail also taught acting workshops and developed arts programs for theatre, dance, music and the visual arts before merging this endeavor into the launching of Running to Places. She is employed full time by the company. Gail shares her home with husband George, daughter Shauna and son Michael with visits from daughter Kristen, son-in-law Justin and the most precious grandson of all time (so far), Dominick. JOEY STEINHAGEN (Resident Director and Co-Artistic Director) has been teaching, acting in, and Acting from Ithaca College. Over the years, he has directed musicals and plays at Ithaca and Dryden high schools, Dryden, Boynton, and Dewitt middle schools, for the Northern Lights Learning Center, and the Hangar Theatre’s “Kiddstuff” series. Joey has taught acting at Ithaca College, Cornell, SUNY Cortland, Hangar Theatre’s Next Generation program, and the Ithaca Youth Bureau. As an actor, Joey has appeared at the Kitchen Theatre Tony and the Soprano (“Tony,” world premiere), Precious Nonsense (“Pete,” world premiere), The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow (“Dr. Yakunin”), and We Won’t Pay, We Won’t Pay LINDA HARRIS (Finance Manager) As an R2P parent she was, and continues to be, extremely inspired by and the enormous amount of personal time they give, all delivered with never-ending enthusiasm and a University and currently works for the Bioacoustics Research Program at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as staff and many wonderful volunteers “behind the scenes” and supporting their hard work and heartfelt efforts for our local youth. SHARON NELSON (Company Manager) served as vice president-treasurer of campus activities during her early college years. She enjoyed selecting the campus performers and working closely with them during show times, and after college went on to be personal managerpromoter for Jamie Notarthomas (Syracuse singer-songwriter). She appreciates R2P’s mission because she knows the sense of belonging and the longschool, the awardwinning West Genesee Wildcat Marching Band, and continues to play today. She started BJM Elementary School. Sharon thanks Gail and Joey for their theatre company lessons, her parents for encouraging her in The Arts as a child, and her husband, Mark and three children, Elliott, Roxanne and Corinna for their love and support! TYLER M. PERRY (Resident Designer) has spent the season as Running to Places’ Resident Designer, Hairspray, Joseph and ... Dreamcoat (Scenic and Lighting Design), Oklahoma, Noises Off, Oliver, and Cinderella (Scenic Design). His work has Opus (Scenic and Lighting Design), Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Waiting for Spring, The Mystery of Irma Vep, and In the Company of Dancers (Lighting Design).
