After a successful inaugural festival last year, it was our goal to begin to grow and sustain this event into an annual showcase and celebration of Maine music artists and emerging indie talent. I believe it
is so important for us all to gather together each year to share ideas, and present our work to new audiences and each
other. This is how we will strengthen our scene.
Launchpad is a non-profit arts incubator with a mission to encourage and build
creative connections in Maine & beyond. Thanks to the support of our sponsors,
our team, the Belfast community and you, the artists and supporters of emerging
talent here in Maine, All Roads has become the premier event for us to translate
our mission into action.
Have fun, find a new favorite band and take time to eat, drink and shop Belfast!
We are so glad you could join us.

1:15–2:00pm @ THE COLONIAL | 143 High Street
In this panel we will hear from all of the main players in the life of “a deal” - artist, agent, manager, and presenter/
promoter. We will begin with the moderator presenting a scenario that involves the artist/manager/agent deciding
on a tour strategy and how that evolves into the agent and promoter in the negotiation process, riders, contracts,
advancing, performance and settlement. While these discussions are taking place, the moderator may throw out various scenarios that will be bumps in the road along the way. Join our participants as we explore the different realities
faced in bringing a deal to closure.
Panelists include: Lauren Wayne (State Theatre, Portland), Spencer Albee, Ryan Peters, Scott Mohler (Eminence Arts),
Meg Shorette (Launchpad). The panel concludes with an audience Q&A session.

2:30–3:30pm @ THE COLONIAL | 143 High Street
INTERVIEWED BY ALEX STEED (Knack Factory, Portland)
The All Roads Music Festival is proud to name Rustic Overtones our
first ever All Roads Legacy Artist as a testament to what the group
has achieved since its formation. Since 1993 the group has set the
standard for indie music artists working in Maine, attracting audiences in state and beyond with their unique sound and enthralling
personality. =
CALEB ORION
DUSTIN SAUCIER
Join the band for a retrospective Q&A event, looking back at the
journey the band has taken over the past 26 years, exploring their
formation, success and creative methodology. No other group working in the state can boast such impressive achievement nor has any
other band served as such an inspiration for working music artists
in Maine in the past two decades, making Rustic our first and ONLY
AIMSEL PONTI
(MODERATOR)
choice on which to bestow this honor.
10
We use the word legacy, because artists deserving of this award must be able to leave an indelible mark on the Maine
music scene. Rustic deserves this honor because they defined that scene.

12:45–1:15pM @ waterfall arts | 256 High Street
1:30–2:00pm @ american legion | 143 High Street
Western Medicine is Brock Ginther, Brian Saxton and McCrae Hathaway. Western Medicine is
a Portland- based band that seem to like making loud, fast and melodic music beds for Pseudoliterary squawks. All Roads will be the bands first ever performance.
Based in Maine with musical roots in Appalachia and the Deep South, The Ghosts of Johnson City
present simple and soulful versions of old mountain music, Civil War songs, coal-mining melodies,
disaster chronicles, haunting murder ballads and tunes of love and loss in times of poverty. With the
debut album Am I Born to Die?, the group seeks to take listeners on a musical journey to some of the
darkest hollows of America’s greatest historical calamities and personal tragedies, from the battlefields of the Civil War and deepest Kentucky coal mines to the whaling grounds of the North Atlantic.

Wait are four-piece Indie Rock band from Bangor, Maine. Formed in the summer of 2015, the members of the band were already good friends, playing in multiple other projects together around the
greater Bangor area. Wait is influenced by many post rock, and indie pop bands, such as Explosions
In The Sky, Pinback, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Pixies. The band is currently in the process of
recording an eight song full length, entitled “Higher and Dry,” slated for release later this summer.
After All Roads, you can catch Wait on tour this summer from August 12th-21st on the Northern
East Coast.
Leveret is an east-coast quartet blending elements of shoegaze, noise rock, electro-pop, and a little

GOLDENOAK
SEEPEOPLES
3:00–3:30pm @ belfast free library | 106 High Street
3:30–4:00pm @ american legion | 143 High Street
From the foothills of Western Maine comes GoldenOak, a folk group whose genre-blending tendencies have them steadily emerging as a musical force in New England. Conceived in the winter
of 2013 by Singer-Songwriter Zak Kendall and cellist Seth Wegner, it wasn’t long before they joined
forces with Kendall’s sister Lena, whose voice blends with the hum of the cello and guitar to create a sound that resonates deep within. More recently, they have teamed up with their good friend
Eloise Schultz, who Zak and Seth met while studying at College of the Atlantic, and who gives their
songs yet another set of layers with her soaring trumpet and vocal harmonies.
SeepeopleS has been steadfastly releasing critically-acclaimed indie rock albums and touring for over
fifteen years. Led by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Will Bradford, the band’s music has traveled around the world, even landing on network television (ABC’s The Gates and CBS’s Judging Amy).
They call their music anti-genre: elements of pop, classic rock, hip hop, electronica and more gel into
a wholly new sound. SeepeopleS has played over 1,000 live events and utilizes an eclectic array of
guest musicians (members of Morphine, Dave Matthews Band, Spearhead and Parliament Funkadelic)
on their five studio albums. SeepeopleS will release the LOVE EP online and in stores in summer 2016.

DOMINIC & THE LUCID
KGFREEZE
3:15–3:45pm @ first church | 8 court Street
3:45–4:15pm @ waterfall arts | 256 High Street
Over the last fifteen years, Dominic and The Lucid have built a reputation for themselves as one of
the most original and consistent bands in New England. A solid live act from the start, music fans
really began to take notice with their breakthrough LP, Waging the Wage (2006), which showcased not
only leader/namesake Dominic Lavoie’s vocals but his uniquely classic songwriting and a dynamite
rhythm section, comprised of Nathan Cyr(bass) and Charles Gagne (drums). With the addition of guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Scott Mohler and Justin Wiley on keyboards, a fresh batch of songs and a
renewed energy, Dominic and The Lucid spent the first half of 2015 recording their new release, Ferret.
KGFREEZE is the solo project of Kyle Gervais. Having released three full-length records SOCIOPATH, VOLUNTEER, HYPOCRITE - in as many years, the FREEZE has established itself as a
go-to for high quality genre-hopping, custom crafted for the disaffected. Known as much for their
terrible music videos as their off the wall collaborations, KGFREEZE is an experience, and not one
you’re expected to immediately comprehend. 2004!!

SUGARBUSH
WHALE OIL
4:00–4:30pm @ belfast free library | 106 High Street
4:45–5:15pm @ waterfall arts | 256 High Street
Waldo County’s very own Sugarbush! A rollicking soulful trio of musical mamas, they bring a variety
of genres into their unique Americana Folk mix. Amy Green (guitar and vocals), Becca Biggs (banjo,
foot percussion, and vocals), and Camille Giglio (cello and vocals) have been creating happy fans all
over the state, presenting both originals and one-of-a-kind covers. Their debut album, Fresh From
the Woods (live) was recently hailed by the BDN as “a striking, exciting debut from three very talented, dynamic women, who represent much of what’s best about rural Maine.”
Hailing from Portland, Maine, Whale Oil is a power trio to the fullest extent. With influences ranging
from The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith to Waylon Jennings and Chet Atkins, Whale Oil bridges the
gap between Alt-Country and good old Rock & Roll. Whale Oil’s new EP “Liquid Courage” enunciates
the band’s diverse influences while still establishing their signature “barn rock” sound. Opening for
Deer Tick, Hollis Brown, Marco Benevento and more, Whale Oil’s diverse songwriting mixed with
unforgettable stage antics makes for a show you do not want to miss.

CHRIS ROSS & THE NORTH
JEFF BEAM
4:30–5:00pm @ american legion | 143 High Street
5:00–5:30pm @ belfast free library | 106 High Street
Hancock, Maine native, Chris Ross has been writing and performing his songs for the better part of
a decade. Mixing smokey folk with a rambling and witty lyricism, he earned the “Songwriter Of The
Year” award at the 2014 New England Music Awards. Ross and his band, Chris Ross and the North,
released their album “Young Once” in 2015, to critical acclaim. Their music lives comfortably in the
space between Americana, Rock, and Country.
Jeff Beam is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter from Portland, Maine. He writes, performs, records, & releases melodic music tinged with experimental kaleidoscopic soundscapes, inspired by
the likes of Olivia Tremor Control, Elliott Smith, Deerhunter, & Spoon. His recordings are a one-man
odyssey; his live shows revolve around an energetic band of his good friends. His lyrics contain observations on humanity, existence, perception, and the attempt to find inner peace amidst a tumultuous outer world. Musically, Beam seeks to fuse together unorthodox pop melody with psychedelic
sound textures & colorful instrumentation.

HANNAH DAMAN & THE MARTELLE SISTERS
5:30–6:00pm @ american legion | 143 High Street
6:00–6:30pm @ belfast free library | 106 High Street
Weakened friends is a rock band. They play rock music. It sounds good. Annie, Sonia, and Cam live
in New England. The have one EP out called “Gloomy Tunes” it was released in September 2015
independently. Cool story bro.
Hannah Daman found her musical footing in Glasgow, Scotland writing and playing songs about
her childhood in rural Massachusetts. She wound her way back to the states on a three month
North American house show tour in 2014 and ended up rooting in Portland ME because the food was
better. Locals, Megan and Francesca Martelle have brought their classical prowess and good ole
fiddle spirit to the original tunes since they all started playing together as Hannah Daman and the
Martelle Sisters in Jan of 2015. They hope to keep working on recording a full length album and on

THEY CALLED ME LEGION
GHOST OF PAUL REVERE
5:45–6:15pm @ waterfall arts | 256 High Street
6:30–7:00pm @ american legion | 143 High Street
What started as Zach Thompson’s solo project has evolved into a full band including Richie Russell
on drums and Stephen Morse on bass. Hailing from Bangor, Maine, They Called Me Legion is hard to
pin into the standard punk or rock genres but has become the standard bearer for the new Bangor
music scene. They’re set to release their second full length album this in June 2016.
Born on the banks of the Saco River, brothers in all but name, the Ghost of Paul Revere is Maine’s
holler-folk band. With a sound built around powerful three-part harmonies, energetic performances, and a non-traditional way of interpreting traditional American music, their songs have unique
identities while still remaining undeniably the Ghost of Paul Revere. They use a masterful combination of melody and energy, somewhere between folk and foot-stomping bluegrass, that has already given Ghost shows legendary status. Fans have traveled vast distances from the most remote
corners of the country to catch the band as they make an increasingly bigger mark on the scene.

TOMATO/TOMATO
COOL TARA
7:00–7:30pm @ belfast free library | 106 High Street
7:45–8:30pm @ waterfall arts | 256 High Street
New Brunswick-based bluegrass darlings Tomato/Tomato charmed the East Coast with the release
of their debut album So It Goes. The quirky duo is currently setting its sights on the rest of the world
with their upcoming sophomore effort, I Go Where You Go. The album builds on their signature
blend of high energy foot stompers and traditional folk. John and Lisa McLaggan opted for a live
approach on the disc, bringing in some of Atlantic Canada’s top bluegrass players for a foot stomping session that jumps from the speakers. Layered with memorable melodies, gorgeous harmonies,
and Lisa’s unique washboard/bass drum/tin can setup, I Go Where You Go shines from start to finish.
“Straddling the line between your inner garage dwelling self and the glam you feel after downing a
can of a celebrity-endorsed energy drink.” Cool Tara is a four piece garage rock band from Portland,
ME that prefers to play live rather than dead, short rather than shorter, fast rather than old, and
loud rather than in the light. Making things since 2014, so it’s about time you check it out!

SPOSE

27-year-old producer and emcee Spose, hailing from Wells, Maine, has been making music since age 9
and rhyming since 1999 when he was 14. Since the release of his debut album “Preposterously Dank”
in 2008 on his own imprint, Spose has seen his musical endeavors reach a new plateau. His single
“I’m Awesome” was released in March 2009 and would eventually go gold after selling over 500,000
digital copies in just a few months. Spose then built his own company, the Preposterously Dank
Entertainment label. Spose has performed with international acts such as Drake, J. Cole, B.o.B., Wiz
Khalifa, Ke$ha, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots, Cage the Elephant, Mike Posner, and Kardinal Offishal.
