The delicate stylized glass design of waterlilies, common in the tranquil
ponds of the Midwest, is adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright’s drawing
“Waterlilies,” which is thought to be designed for an art glass screen in
1895 but never produced. This early example epitomizes Wright’s ability to
incorporate themes from nature into his geometric designs and exemplifies
his philosophy of “organic architecture” — connecting the natural world
with his architecture as well as his decorative designs.

constructed mechanically, using only 45

curves. A special ruler and T-square provide
architectural authenticity to the hands.
Water resistant to 30 meters.
This distinctive watch was adapted from
one of the art glass windows in the Ward
W. Willits House, Highland Park, Illinois,
1902. The distinguished, curved watch
with its patterned crystal and stylized dial
is a handsome tribute to Wright’s original
design. Stainless steel case, black leather

WATCH
The delicate design of this watch was
adapted from the details of a brass
altar screen Wright designed for the
Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church,
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, 1956. Intricate
intersecting circles with interior, scalloped
forms and diamond shapes created a
harmonious repeat pattern integral to the
icon screen, originally designed in gold
anodized aluminum. These graceful design
elements were also used in other interior
design features throughout the building.
