Priority Points
The Priority System for exhibit space assignment sets forth the policy of APPA and PIDA and does not constitute a contract or
create any rights, contract or otherwise, on behalf of any Exhibitor. Management reserves the right to modify or discontinue the
Priority System at any time. After July 31, 2012 booths will be assigned strictly on the basis of first-come, first-served, and the
Priority System will not apply.
Priority System for Assignment of Booth Space – APPA Members
Points are allocated on the basis of one (1) point for each year in which the member previously exhibited, plus one (1) additional
point for each year of APPA membership.
The Booth Assignment Committee will make assignments of booth space on all applications received up to and including
July 31, 2012. Assignments of space requested will be on the basis of earned points plus earliest date of‑mailing of contracts to
APPA headquarters.
In the event that the same booth or booths are requested by more than one member, the member with the highest number of points
will be given preference. If two or more members with the same number of points request the same space, earliest date of mailing
of the contracts will be the deciding factor.
Priority System for Assignment of Booth Space – PIDA Distributor Members
Initial exhibit space assignment for past PETS Exhibitors is based on a Priority Point System, which is determinedby seniority and
size of exhibit space. Your Exhibit Space Application must be received by July 31, 2012 to take advantage of the Priority System.
Priority is calculated as follows:
1.Seniority: Seniority is calculated by assigning one point for each show the Exhibitor has participated in starting
with 1985 for a maximum of 12 points. If the Exhibitor has missed two or more shows in a row, all seniority is lost.
2.Size of Exhibit Space: Size of exhibit space is determined by the amount of square footage.
3. Priority: Priority is calculated by participation at Global Pet Expo, PIDA Management Conference and membership.
4. Seniority Brackets: Exhibitors are then classified into Seniority brackets. Assignments will be made in descending
order, based on the priority number in each bracket. In the event of a tie, a drawing will be held.
5. Once space has been contracted, any reduction in space will result in no seniority point being awarded to the
Exhibitor’s Priority Status for that show.
