In fact a higher percent of Zag readers than all LSM 8-10 individuals (24%) fall into this household income category. 3) Zag readers have a desirable consumer profile: Zag readers are twice as likely as the average individual to have bought a watch costing R700 or more in the past 12 months. They are 2.6 times more likely to have bought aftershave for R300 or more. By way of comparison; 11.5% of Zag readers bought a watch for R700+ compared to 10.2% of all LSM 8-10’s. 4) Zag readers are financially sophisticated Zag readers are 8.7 times more likely than the average individual to have a home loan. Only 1.7% of the entire population has a home loan/mortgage. 14.7% of all Zag readers have a home loan – high even compared to the 6.4% of all LSM’s 8-10 Furthermore, 4.9% of Zag readers have investments/sub/paid up shares compared to 4.4% of all LSM’s 8-10.
