This is the third of our school magazine Downtown.We have a little experience now.The content
of the magazine is different than other school
magazines.We nevet aim to advertise the school activities.We
aim Downtown to be read by everone who holds it.Downtown
was edited by an English teacher; Barış Ertürk but the rest (desi
gning,writings,stories,photos,drawings etc.) was done by Mecidiyeköy Anatolian High School students.Thanks to all.Have fun!

DOWNTOWN MAGAZINE No Money No Perfume
Once upon a time when I and Burak went to the Beyazıt for buy YGS bank. And we bought YGS books from
fem publishers after that we started to walk to Eminönü through Grand Bazaar. When we exit and just walked
twenty minutes away one illegal parfumes seller stopped Burak and he said just ask for ‘how much is that
parfume’ and Burak didn’t understand an he said ‘i don’t understand’ seller said again ‘just asked how much
is that’ and Burak asked that question and seller said ‘170TL’ and Burak said ‘Can i try it?’ seller opened the
cover and the box and Burak tried it. After that seller asked ‘Do you want to buy ıt?’ and Burak said ‘I havent
got 170TL’ seller said ‘100TL’ Burak said ‘I havent got’saller said ‘50TL’ Bırak said ‘i havent got’ seller said
‘30TL’ and Burak said same sentences seller said ’10TL’ Burak said ‘I havent got money’ seller said ‘5TL’,
Burak said ‘ I havent got any money I’m poor brother’ and seller just looked the Burak and he went after
that we laughed into the street and we went to tram.

PIRATE RECORDING
Last year we went to cinema our friends. While we were watching film, Buse sent a message to her mother.
When the film finished cinema staff made a sing to us. Then they walked up to us. And we went out from
cinema with staff the accused us for pirate record. We were afraid but it was understood that we were innocent. The bad point of the day we couldn’t watch the end of the movie.

Last year our school organized a trip. I wanted to go really. I gave the trip’s wage before a week. But one
day before the trip, I slept late. So the trip day, I woke up late. So i decided to not go to school that day. But
I didn’t remember going to trip. I understand it, when Aslı called me. Shortly, my money was wasted. 

CHEMISTRY EXAM
One day after long break our lessons were empty and we would go
back home. İsmail Abi persisted for a paper from Evren teacher. I
get angry somethings like that so i got angry and I tried to find Evren
teacher for paper. That day school got painted. When i looked into
Evren teacher’s room, I couldn’t find him and I got angry again. I
turned and ı couldnt see bucket which was full of paint. First I didnt
feel but later I tried to step and i couldnt so i checked my feet for why
I couldnt step and I saw it, paint was everywhere on my leg! I looked
at my friend near me and we started to laugh, everbody laughed in
the hall which was in front of the Evren teacher’s room.
One day everybody was in the
class. The lesson was chemistry and the teacher was Doğan
teacher.The exam finished,
the teacher would read exams.
Everybody was really excited and
then the teacher started to read
exam’s note. Everybody took
good notes but my note was so
terrible. Then the teacher asked
me ‘what happened to you?’ and
I answered ‘I dont know teacher’
and the teacher asked me seriously ‘have any chemistry teacher
crashed you?!’

t the 9th grade,we took our first Maths
examination.My exam and my friends’
exams were not so good.We were afraid of
failing.A week later,our teacher declared our
marks and the majority of us failed.So the event
happened which was we afraid of.Teacher said
my name and I stood up.She declared my mark
: “Twenty-three !” I was very shocked and sad
because I was upset.I and my friends started
to afraid failing from this lesson so much.
Thankfully,I got better marks in the other exams
and I didn’t fail from this lesson.

WHO I AM?
short STORIES BY TAHA USLUĞ DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM
In a big university amphy,there
were 250 students in an exam.
And the professor was really
angry,the time was only 2 hours.
There was no chance for extra
time.If a student could not do it
on time,that student would fail.
So all of the students drummed
up for writing answers on time.
But Randy wrote very slowly.
Sometimes thought,sometimes
wrote.He was not hasty.
And the time was
up,Professor said “Bring the
papers back.”All the students
brought papers back and went
out.There was no students in
the amphy excluding Randy.
And Randy kept on writing and
thinking.After time,when the professor prepared for next lesson
and going out,Randy brought
his paper.But Professor got
hot because of this and said :
“No ! I won’t take your
paper back !” Randy glowered him and answered :
“Do you know who
I am ?” Professor said :
“No,actually I don’t .Why did
you ask that ?” Randy got more
angry an done more time asked:
“Do you know who I am ?”
Also the professor got more angry
and answered one more time :
“I said no I don’t ! So this
is absolutely not important !”
Randy followed up by
saying “In that case,okay !”
and he picked up some papers
and put the paper of himself
into the papers and fixed
them.After that Randy said :
“Have a nice day,teacher
!” and went in front of the professor ’s confused looks.

interview An Interview with a Swedish Musician Who Has Started To Live In Istanbul
Mikael: Hello!
Ege: Hello! What’s your name?
Mikael: Mikael, nice to meet you.
Emir: Can you spell for me?
Mikael: M-I-K-A-E-L, in Swedish is Mikael but in English is Michael.
Barış teacher: It’s a universial name.
Ege: Can you introduce yourself to us?
Mikael: Um, I’m 37 years old, I’m come from Sweden. I was born on a
small island of the coast in The Balctic Sea. I came to Istanbul 6 months
ago with my wife who works at H&M and I’m studying some
courses from Sweden.

Barış teacher: Online education?
Mikael: Yeah yes online. So I’m
studying some photography now,

Ege: Turkish ya?
Mikael: Yes Turkish.
Barış teacher: Turkish turkish..
Ege: You have seen Istanbul:
Do you have any favourite spot?
Mikael: I’m living in Cihangir,
Cİhangir is nice, small but very
close to Istiklal and all the major.
There’s a lot of restaurants and
nice small stores but ofcourse we
have been to Büyükada and it is
very nice.
Barış teacher: Were you living in a
house or a flat in Sweden?
Mikael: In a flat, yes a flat so quite
similar size as here. Otherwise i
mean favourite places, umm, I
think cihangir and Büyükada. It’s
maybe my favourite so far. We
trying to get around, see many
places as possible.
Emir: What are the differences
between Sweden And Istanbul?
About financial, girls?
Mikael: -Hahah I’m gonna avoid
the question about girls- Financial,
Um, Turkey as fas as i’ve read,
Turkey’s economy is good for
couple of years. I think Sweden
people has quite good financial
for a long time. And here you can
see a huge gap between poor and
rich, in my opinion. But im living in
Cihangir and maybe i haven’t seen
enough. And if you go to other parts
of Turkey you can see, ofcourse,
a whole another picture. So if i
compare Istanbul to Stockholm,
where i live, i think it’s economicly
similar at least.
Ege: Before coming Istanbul how
were you earning your life?
Mikael: I worked as a product
manager in logistics so we worked
with a different marketing departments for samsung and microsoft
etc. so we sent out there marketing materials so if you go to Saturn,
the big electronic store, or somewhere like that, so you can see a
lot of posters and electronic material that we sent. We made them.
Ege: Now you’re in Istanbul, how
do you earn money?
Mikael: -Haha- My wife for money
here! I don’t earn any money infortunately. Not yet, anyway!
Emir: How do you spent your time
in Istanbul?
Mikael: I study here some and I
do some photography. I try to take
photos.
Barış teacher: Some photos about
Istanbul?
Mikael: Yeah, since i study photography now, I go out and try to take
some photos.
Barış teacher: Do you send somewhere? or do you use Instagram?
Mikael: Yeah! Yes I use instagram

Barış teacher: No but they have

Mikael: Yes you can follow me
that’s not a problem! and I also
play some music here, I tried to
record something. I have a small
laptop, and sound card. I brought
my guitar here and i try to play
some music.
Barış teacher: Have you start to
compose?
Mikael: Yes I start to compose and
ı had done it some before but since
ı have a lot of free time since I don’t
work regular hours I can spend
some time with that.
Ege: So now, you are spending
your time with all your hobbies.
Mikael: Yes I’m very lucky that way!
Ege: When did you start playing
guitar? Why and how?
Mikael: I think. Umm, how? I had a
friend and we listen a lot to Guns
n roses. Maybe you know them?
Ege: Yes we know!

Mikael: And I was like 14 than we deciced
to, um, we should have a band! So he
learned to play guitar and I learned to
play bass cause it was more easy and
he had a easier to learn cause he had
play like saxophone or something. (We
really don’t know what he says here
exaclty.)
Emir: I play bass guitar and it’s not easy
for me!
Mikael: (laughing) but it has only 4
strings haha!
Emir: But there are the same chords!
Mikael: yes yes! So i was like 14 when i
started learning guitar.
Ege: Who’s your Idol?
Mikael: In music or?
Emir: In music.
Mikael: In music I think, um, I think there
are many amazing artists but I used to
listed Tom waits.
Emir: Oh I love him!
Mikael: I listen to a lot but nowadays I
mean, I have been, I have got a little bit
lazy, older listen to so much new music
I listen to old old mans! so like Johnny
got a little bit lazy, older listen to

Mikael: Bob Dylan, of course! and
The Band! If you haven’t listen to

Mikael: So they played with Bob
Dylan, if you listen to Bob Dylan he
first played acoustic but he switch
to electric guitar and they were
the first band which switched from
acoustic to electric on tour.

Barış Teacher: They are also interested in music.
Mikael: Yes yes. I heard! they
have a band. So you should listen
to The Band. They created some
amazing music when they were
like 25 years old.
Emir: I will.
Barış teacher: Evolution of Bob

Mikael: Ehehehe It’s was very
good!
Ege: Have you ever attend a music
competition?
Mikael: Yes i did when ı was like 15
or 16. We attended a local Swidish
music competition. but we didnt
win but it was nice I mean, I dont
think music and competition...
Ege: Shouldn’t be together?
Mikael: No I think It’ hard to
compete in music
Emir: Do you like or do you listen
any kind of Turkish music?
Mikael: We bought a CD from
some musicians who played on
Istıklal. Wait, I wrote somewhere.
Sorry I don’t remember the name
but it was like turkish folk it was traditional music I think. but otherwise
I haven’t listen so much.
Emir: Light in babylon?
Barış teacher: It wasn’t a famous
band
Mikael: No no.

Barış teacher: Local one.
Mikael: Yes but they were good!
Ege: Do you like our culture?
Mikael: Yeah, I definitely like the
food. And people here are so nice
and open generally. And It’s very
diffrent from Sweden in many
ways. We both have like traditional
people. Um, We went to the beach
this summer and the people in front
of us were Transsexual. A woman
-formally a man- was smoking. And
there was a traditional woman with
Turban aswell. They went to the
same beach. Ofcourse they have
seen the eachother. And It’s very
interesting. You can see diffrent
people in like one picture.
Emir: What is the first Turkish word
that you’ve learned?
Mikael: Oh, “Meraba” and
“Tişeküğrler” i think.
Barış teacher: They tought it’s
gonna be a bad word, slang.
Hahaha!
Mikael: No! I dont think any bad
word, yet. No. That’s good for us.
Emir & Ege: Did you eat Baklava
here?
Mikael: Yeah, love it!

Ege: Ne o? Hee. Have you ever
travelled with minibus here?
Mikael: Yeah, we went to the one
of the beaches at Black Sea coast.
I mean that’s fun!
Barış teacher: Do you know the
Turkish meaning of minibus?
Mikael: Um, Dolmuş? I think taxies
here are much more dangerous.
Barış teacher: Taxi drivers don’t
know the adress generally. Haha!
Mikael: Ohh. Never, never, never.
Emir: Have you ever thrown Simit
to the seagulls?
Mikael: No, should we do that? It’s
like a tradition or?
Barış teacher: Yes, while going to
Büyükada, birds are accustomed
to eat Simit from the hands of
Mikael: Oh! I get it. I haven’t seen
any of this.
Barış teacher: From the boat, they
follow the boat. They are waiting
passengers to throw simit. So
they can eat them. You can try it
in spring.
Mikael: Oh i will, but not my wife
though. She is afraid of birds. She
dont like birds.
Emir: What languages can you
speak?
Mikael: I speak Swedish and i think
I’m pretty good at English. Can
understand some German. I tried
to learn Turkish.
Emir: What do you think about
Turkish people’s English accent?
Barış teacher: Some people think
its not the proper accent.
Mikael: I think generally people
don’t care us about accent. As
long as you can communicate
i dont think they care about the
accent. I think French people are
harder to judge if you have a bad
accent. If you dont have proper
French, French people dont think
you worth much -Hahaha-. Since
English and Turkish are so diffrent,
It’s natural to not to have a proper
English accent, i understand this.
I’m not having problem to understand Turkish people’s English.
Ege: What do you think about
Turkish people?
Mikael: Turkish people seem to
be nice and open. I can see that
Turkish people are very good at
taking the oppurtunities to live, I
mean people in here are working
with stuffs that we dont see in
Sweden. Turkey is much larger
country. Especially in Istanbul, a
lot of people need to make a living.
You must find a lot of diffrent jobs.
I think it’s a good thing.
Ege: Um, haha... Which ones are
more beautiful, Swedish girls or
Turkish girls? -We all laughed to
this silly questionMikael: oh... I think umm. It’s hard
to say..
Emir: Your wife is not here!
Mikael: Oh hahaha. oh no no.
I think they are diffrent. There
are some very beautiful Turkish
girls. Also there are a lot beutiful
Swedish girls. It’s hard to answer,
they are a lot diffrent. Both are
beautiful. *sees me writing “Both
are beautiful”* Diplomatic answer!
-LaughsEmir: Are you interested in sports?
Mikael: Nah, No. I’m not actually. I started to work out when I
moved here. Before that I didn’t
do any sports. Both me and my
wife started to exercise when we
moved here. I don’t watch sports
too. But i can see that football is
so popular here, and basketball.
Barış teacher: So, so. Ninty
percent football, ten percent basketball. -HahaEge: Do you watch football
matches here?
Mikael: No, I haven’t. I never watch
football, or any other sports. I
sometimes watch the Olympics.
Like summer olympics and winter
olympics. It can be intersting. Oh,
we watched the World Football
Championship two years ago. We
were in the Italy and I think Italy
were in the final, semi-final or
something.
Emir: Do you know any Turkish
team?
Mikael: I know the, umm, Beşiktaş,
Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe -That
was his order-. But I don’t support
any of them.

ukraıne versus turkey
dıfferences between two countrıes As we know; the life between
countries is - so different from
each other. The cultures, the
language, the people etc. And
the more we learn – means the
more we know. And that was the
exact reason why I’ve been in
Ukraine for 3,5 years. I’ve learnt
the culture, the language and
the mentality. Believe me, it is
so different from Turkey.
First of all, the language is different. Ukraine’s offical language is
Ukrainian. Eventhough people
speak Russian because of it’s
communist system which was
long years ago when Ukraine
was part of Russia and the
offical language was Russian.
So which means if you live in
Ukraine you’ve know two languages. The school life is also
different but not so much. The
difference is that you don’t have
to take some tests to get into
high school. The only exam you
take is – ZNO which is for getting
into university. Except that you
take tests in school from each
lesson like in Turkey. They don’t
have a school uniform. The only
necessity is – your pants have
to be black and you can wear
anything white on the top. And
the most thing I liked was the
tradition which comes from the
times of communism. School is
11 years which is a year less
than ours. The first day and the
last day of school 11th forms

wear the school uniform
from the Soviet Union. And
it looks so funny. And about
lessons; you have 7-8, 45
minute lessons a day without
a lunch break. And the teachers, their attitude and the
way they teach is really different. Teachers very strict
and it is almost impossible
to talk to them so close like,
you’re friends unlike Turkey.
This actually explains the
culture of the country and
the character of the people.
People are; I’d say nice
and friendly but that’s only
when you have something
in common. They are not
like us. Not as hospitable as
us. But when you become
friends with someone their
friendship is so strong. I’ve
met people who’ve been
friends for 20-25 years.
And I was amazed by that.
Life couldn’t break them
away which shows us how
much they love and care
about each other and that
how much they trust to
eachother.
Ukraine’s main food is potato.
They call potato “the second
bread”. It’s also famous
for it’s “borsch” soup and
the dessert which is called

“vareniki”. The Ukranian flag has to
colors split in a half by a line. On
the top it has the blue color which
means “sky” and on the bottom it
has the yellow color which means
“wheat”. It’s very common in
Ukraine to have a farm and people
work there all the time. I haven’t
seen anyone yet buying potatoes,
tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots or
lettuce from the shop. In so much
that I’ve met people who are 80
years old and still plant potatoes
and pick up mushrooms. I was
suprised by that. Because I was
used to buy everything from the
shop.
It was really difficult to get used
to Ukraine. But it’s always difficult
to get used to something new. But
if you have purposes that makes
everything difficult thing easier.
My purpose was learning Russian
and Ukrainian and also Ukraine’s
culture. In my time of working on
my purpose I made new friends.
So this time of staying away from
my country was so useful for me.

colorful photos in twitter she has
showed us her difference. Even

most. And I am sure we will see

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MY
OLD AND NEW SCHOOL
THIS IS OUR SECOND YEAR HERE
We are students of Mecidiyeköy Anatolian
Highschool.We are at 10th grade.We love our
school because last year was amazing.We are
going to write about our school and our memories. Our class teacher was Barış Ertürk. He
always make jokes. He gave us a survey about
our school for Downtown and then we got used
to school.
My Old School
My old school’s name is Türkan Şoray
Primary School. It has got a big garden.
There are basketball area and a volleyball
area in the garden , but there isn’t a football
area. Students study six lessons in one
day. Lessons are Turkish , Maths , Social
Sciences , P.E , Science , English , R.E ,
Music , Design and Technology and Art and
Design. Lessons were fun. Lessons were
not hard
There is a place in our school that we love
so much... And we named it “Flirting Corner”.If
you flirt with someone you can go there actually
not can you must! Because if you come there
we can see you.
My New School
Last year we stayed for graduation preparation and Mr.Bozoğlu said: “We will give you
chicken with rice.” (THEY DIDN’T). If you go to
trip with school you must have a bottle of water.
Because our school likes walking. They don’t
call for a bus. When the weather was cold, we
slept on the radiators in our class. There is a
teacher in our school, he always takes photos of
school,students and teachers... Well you know
his name. His name is Özgür Akbaş.
My new school’s name is Mecidiyeköy
Anatolian High School. It hasn’t got a big
garden. It has got a small garden. There
are basketball area and football area in
the school , but there isn’t any volleyball
areaa. Students learn eight lessons in one
day. Lessons are Art and Design , Biology
, Chemisty , Turkish Literature , English
, Geography , German , History , Maths ,
Music , P.E and Physics. Lessons are not
fun. Lessons are hard.
We talked too much. Finally it is time to
stop. See you later at next year’s Downtown...

THIS IS MY THIRD
YEAR HERE
My first day
in this school , I
was really excited.
Different school, different friends, different teachers. It could
be good or it could be
bad. I always think
how you start a year
it always continues
same.
When I finished
primary school, I said
to myself “Yes, it has
finished now. I can
relax. High school will
be easy. I want to go
to a highschool and
now it is the time” Of
course, I am not a liar
but it was a big lie for
me.
Then lessons
started and I just
remembered studying, studying, studying !! I’m not a perfect

STORY Dragons; creatures to reign
in the middle age. There was a
4 dragon; Dark Dragon, Blue
Dragon, Yellow Dragon, Red
Dragon. People always defend
to self opposite to dragon
cuz people didn’t damage to
dragon. In the course of time,
people learnt information interested in dragon. Just self flame
to damage to them. People to
become hopeful. They made
magicial swords. The swords
were using for dragon flames.
They successed to frighten the
dragons and controlled them.
King Morgan was preparing an army
of 200000 and he rode to the dragon.
King Henry saw the enemies in the
twilight. He was waiting on the backs
of dragons. And war started with the
first cannon shot. Kings was burning
their enemies. The war had turned
into a military massacre. Walls had
destroyed. King Henry rode the
dragon to King Morgan. He didn’t
want more deaths.
King Morgan was able to escape
this attack and he started to attack
to king King Henry. Relentlessly they
attacked to each other. This moment
it was a huge explosion. Kings and
dragons had fallen. Dragons got
up and flew away. Kings drew their
swords. They attacked to each other
but swords had destroyed after coincides. Dragons saw this event and
they attacked to everywhere and
everyone.

ALIENS ARE EVERYWHERE
Caroline Overton is fifteen years old.She is tall and
has short red hair and green eyes.She is quite beautiful girl.She likes to search interesting stories about
aliens and their existence!One day while she was
searching on the Internet she saw an amazing new
about aliens and she got shocked.The news said
that : “ALIENS ARE GOING TO COME TO EARTH
NEARLY’’ After she read the this new she sent an
email to her teacher who is interested in aliens too.
The day after she went to school and shared the news
with her best friend Lucy.
They have been known each other for 7 years so they
share everything.She was fairly curious
about the news too.So they agreed to search about
aliens.And they talked to their teachers too.
One week later interesting things started to happen.
First they saw Mr Buye while he was doing mysterious thing.He was changing the drink’s colour green to
red.That was incredible.Was he a wizard or an alien?
Caroline started to follow him day by day and she
recorded the interesting video about his changing.
On 13 th Friday of December they heard strange
noise.At that moment an airplane passed over their
school.Everyone in class looked out of the window but
sun hurt their eyes.They turned away from the window
but Mr Buye didn’t , so this explains everyting…

I’m Burak Demirel.This text is about to what I did for a month in New York City and also
school campus.
First of all i want to tell you about my trip which took me 11 hours on the plane.It was comfortable for me because I have an experience about long time flights as I travelled before
so it is difference of Turkish Airlines :D Finally we got off the plane and entered the USA. I
stayed with my father for 2 days in Manhattan and then I moved EF Campus.There is real
college but EF bought this college. First day in Campus we had some activities to meet
each other.We had an exam to define our English level.My first level was A2.2. I got an
high level according to the result of the new exam and I won the higher level :D
We only had class on weekdays.
At weekends we usually went to the NYC because my campus was a little bit far away
from the city.It took me 40 minutes to get there.

I almost travelled most of the famous places in NYC. For
example;Timesquare,Rockefeller Center,Empire State
Building,Central Park,Statue of Liberty,5th Avenue etc…
I think the most popular place is 5th Avenue because there
are brands that are famous all over the world in that street.
The most important thing is the activities which I did with
my friends.I had lots of fun with my friends.For example;we
went to party,we played basketball,we went to six flags,we
played billiards etc… I had lots of friends who are from different parts of the world.It is approximately 10.
I took the B2 certificate.My teacher was surprised at first
he didn’t believe me.The I made him believed but I got

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena game
which was developed and published by Riot Games. It was first
announced on October 7, 2008 and released on October 27, 2009.
The game was inspired by Defense of the Ancients for the video
game Warcraft III The Frozen Throne. According to a Forbes article
in 2012, League Of Legends is the most played PC game in the
world in terms of the number of hours played.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME ?
Two enemy teams which consist of five Champions (three on the
Twisted Treeline map) get into battle either pre - grouped or randomly selected players.As of December 13, 2013, there are 117
different champions can be chosen.Each player begins at opposing
sides of a map near a building called a ‘’Nexus’’. A match doesn’t
finish unless one team destroys the other’s Nexus or make enemy
team surrender.The team who wants to win have to work as a
group.Along each lane, players gain levels and earn gold by killing
the opposing team's Champions, opposing team’s Minions (that
regularly spawn and attack the other team’s champions, minions,
towers, inhibitors and ‘Nexus’) and defeating neutral monsters.
This gold can be used to purchase items.It makes Champions
stronger and dedicated for a specific role (more offensive or more
defensive).
MAPS
There are currently four maps that the players can choose: three
5v5 maps and one 3v3 map.(Summoner’s Rift,, The Crystal Scar,
Howling Abyss and The Twisted Treeline) Summoner’s Rift is the
most common and most important map in League of Legends.
GAME MODES AND MATCHMAKING
League of Legends is a session-based game.Matchmaking
creates teams with
average MMR (Matchmaking Rating) of the constituent players.
There are five general game types: Tutorial, Custom, Co-Op vs.
AI, Normal or Ranked.However, within each type, there
are many options.The most important mode is Ranked.
Ranked:Ranked uses Draft Mode: the first player in each
team bans 3 champions from the champion list, and the
two teams can not have an identical champion. In addition, opposing Champion picks are visible before the game
begins.
TOURNAMENTS
The 2010 World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Los Angeles
hosted a League of Legends tournament, which teams from
China, Europe, and the America competed. The Counter
Logic Gaming team from North America won the tournament and $7,000 prize.
The Season 1 World Championships in June 2011,was
held at Dreamhack in Sweden, featured $100,000 in prizes.
The European team Fnatic defeated teams from Europe,
the USA, and Asia to win the tournament and won $50,000
of prize money.Over 1.6 million viewers watched streaming broadcast of the event, with a peak of over 210,000
simultaneous viewers in one semi-final match.
On October 13, 2012, Taiwan’s professional team Taipei
Assassins (TPA) triumphed over South Korea’s Azubu

artıcle When I went to Amsterdam, taxis and bicycles first caught
my attention. There were a lot of bikes, there were huge
parking spaces for bicycles. Taxis were all Mercedes. First
stop was the flower baazar. There were many beautiful
flowers and all were colorful. Then we went to the Royal
Palace. In the evening we went to Dam Square. We visited
it. We ate delicious and famous potatoes. The second day
we went to a small fishing town, Markel. Markel was a
charming place where elderly people live. Then we went
to get the cheese and drank liquor,they were very nice.
In the evening we went shopping. And we ate baklava
from Gulluoglu.The third day we attented a Grand Holland
tour. We visited Rotterdam Den Haag and Scheveningen.
Netherlands has the aesthetic beauty of the old windmills.
Truly a place to live, almost paradise.

And then we went to Paris
on a tour of the Seine River.

We went to the city of belgium
;Brugge. We toured the city with
a phaeton. And then we went to
Brussels. Brugge
We saw the atomium, China
houses. We toured the city and
we saw the Royal Palace. We

we bought Belgian Chocolate.
We ate dinner with the seafood.
There were also a lot of fish
sellers here, and of course some
of them were Turkish
Firstly ,we did the panoramic city tour. Then we went to Manneken Pis
the Cathedral Notre Dame. Victor Hugo wrote the books
here. Motifs, sculptures, photos were really fascinating.

THE NAVAL HIGH SCHOOL
The history of Deniz Lisesi dates
back to 1773. It was constructed
by Gazi Hasan Pasha. The high
school started in Kasımpaşa district of Istanbul. Now, the Naval High
School is located on Heybeliada
Island. It trains and educates cadets
to serve the military as naval officers.
The Naval High School has 40 classroom and 20 labs which are used for
phsyics, biology, chemistry etc. The
naval high school has many educational activities. For example; fishery,
culture and literature, history etc.
In addition to that there are sport
teams such as sailing, tennis, badminton, athleticism, triathlon etc.
Education is primarily in English
and Turkish. The school years break
down as follows: English Prep (1
year) High School (4 years).
MECIDIYEKOY ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL
Mecidiyeköy High School was built as a secondary school
in 1960. It was transformed to high school in 1966. It has 8
classrooms at first but today there are 25 classrooms. And it
turned into an Anatolian High School in 2010. Mecidiyeköy
Anatolian High School has many sports teams.For example;
football, athleticism etc. And the school has many educational activities.
DIFFERENCES OF THE NAVAL HIGH SCHOOL
AND
MECIDIYEKOY ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL
I think there are so many differences between these two
schools. First of all the Naval High School is a military
school. And the school is well disciplined. If you are a cadet,
you have to obey the rules. And the rules are very tough.
But the other schools are not tough. In addition to you have
many responsibilties in the naval high school. For example;
inspection, duty etc. The naval high school is a boarding
school. Naval High School has Tarkan Yarbay but the others
don’t.
