Flooring, walkways and decking areas in corrosive environments need to offer
superior load bearing as well as corrosion resistance. A well designed Composite
system like Fibreforce Composite Gratings is the answer!
The use of good quality grade resins, including UV inhibitors and other additives
together with sufficient glass fibre reinforcement result in a product which offers
chemical and corrosion resistance while withstanding the required force/load.
Exel offers two types of Composite grating:
• Pultruded grating
• Moulded grating

Can be used where mechanical load is very high or support distances are
very wide.
Panels are fabricated to drawing with minimum wastage.
Performs structurally better than moulded grating with a maximum deflection
to be limited to SPAN / 200 (the same limit as for steel grating).

Installation around piping, tanks and other obstacles is mush simpler with
moulded grating.
Fixed panels sizes to be fitted on site.
The chemical resistance of moulded grating is superior.
Well suited for forklift traffic.
Designed for a max deflection of SPAN/100.

Fibreforce Composite Grating is supplied as standard with a tough and hard
wearing slip-resistant grit bonded to the surface. The product can be supplied
un-gritted on request.
Grating is available in various resin formulations depending on the chemical
environment and the fire performance requirement including,
• Iso Polyester,
• Vinylester,
• Phenolic
Stairtreads
Constructed from standard grating (either moulded or pultruded) with a
coloured nose piece. Treads can be supplied in widths up to 1500 mm wide.
Installation
Composite Grating can be securely fixed to support members using stainless
steel clips. Types M and L are used to fix from the top into support members.
