The group’s products are primarily used to control, direct and measure the flow of oil and gas as it is moved from individual wellheads through flow lines, gathering lines and transmission systems to refineries, petrochemical plants and industrial centers for processing. The Process Valves division provides critical service valves for refinery, chemical and petrochemical processing businesses and for associated storage terminal applications, particularly through the Orbit® and General ValvE® product lines. Orbit and General VALVE lines are complimented by WKM® and TBV™ valve products and expand the scope of this division’s product offerings. TBV valve products are manufactured and assembled at Cameron’s new facility in Millbury, Massachusetts. The TBV facility offers 100,000 ft2 of space of which 80,000 ft2 is dedicated to manufacturing, assembling, testing, shipping, and quality assurance. The increased manufacturing space has afforded Cameron the opportunity to expand its product offering and size ranges. TBV is now competitive in the LNG, mining and petrochemical markets with its ability to offer larger size ranges in its line of products. 4 TBV™ CT-TBV-BALL-CV 04/10-SWP-3M PROCESS VALVES TBV™ FAMILY OF CRYOGENIC PRODUCTS Technical Summary SIZE RANGE ½” THROUGH 16” DN15 THROUGH DN400 PORTING CONFIGURATIONS STANDARD PORT and FULL PORT APPLICATIONS • Air Separation •Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) •Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) •Pharmaceutical (blanketing, ph control, pipe freezing, process chilling, water treatment, shrink fitting) • Transport (Trailers) • Steel Mills •High Purity Gases For Electronic Applications • Food Freezing • Aerospace SERVICES Ammonia (-28ºF / -33ºC) Argon (- 303ºF / -186ºC) Carbon Dioxide (-109 ºF / -78ºC) Carbon Monoxide (- 312ºF) Chlorine (-30ºF / -34ºC) Deuterium (- 417ºF) Ethylene (-155ºF / -104ºC) Fluorine (- 307ºF / -188ºC) Freon (-18 ºF / -28ºC) Helium (- 452ºF/-269ºC) Hydrogen (- 423ºF/-253ºC) Krypton (- 244ºF) Methane (- 259ºF/-162ºC) Neon (- 410ºF/-246ºC) Nitric Oxide (- 241ºF) Nitrogen (- 320ºF/-196ºC) Oxygen (- 297ºF/-183ºC) Propane (-44ºF/-42ºC) PRESSURE RANGE VACUUM THROUGH ASME 900 TEMPERATURE RANGE -452ºF / -269ºC to 500ºF / 260ºC MATERIALS 316 / 316L Stainless Steel All materials used are fully traceable Monel Brass END CONNECTIONS Flanged Socket Weld Butt Weld SPECIFICATIONS ASME B1.20.1 ASME 16.10 ASME B16.11 ASME B16.25 ASME B16.34 ASME B31.3 ASME 16.5 MSS SP25 MSS SP61 BS6364 API 607 4TH Ed and API 607 5th Ed Bechtel 3PS-PV00-F0001 Chevron Low Temp & Cryo Service Testing OPERATION OH – Oval Handle LH – Lever Handle LG – Locking Gear Operator ASTM A351 CF3M - Casting ASTM A182 F316L - Forging ASTM A276 or A479 316L - Bar ASTM B164 ASTM B584 Extended Welded Ends Threaded NPT Pipe Threads Face to Face Dimensions Socket Weld Ends (diameter & depth) Butt Weld Ends Steel Valves (performance & design) Process Piping (application) Pipe Flanges & Fittings Valve Marking Pressure Testing British Standard Cryo Leak Test Std. Stem Seal The leak-proof integrity of the valve is further enhanced by a welded bonnet design and Chevron V-ring packing that can be adjusted by a simple turn of the stem nut. Leak-free stem sealing is provided by the rings of PTFE V-ring or graphoil packing that sit on a shoulder machined on the blowout-proof stem, allowing the Firesafe Design packing and stem to move as a unit during thermal cycles. In addition, the packing is live-loaded, retained by self compensating belleville spring washers and a packing adjustment nut. These features coupled with close tolerance machining and finish of the packing Firelip bore, provide maximum stem seal life with the minimum maintenance. CT-TBV-BALL-CV 04/10-SWP-3M TBV™ 7 PROCESS VALVES TBV™ FAMILY OF CRYOGENIC PRODUCTS (Cont.) Overall Valve Features Flow Direction Where there is unidirectional flow, flow arrows are located on the valve in three areas so that there is no doubt how the flow needs to go through the valve: •Bottom boss of center section •Top plate of the cryo extension •Stainless steel tag on body Cavity Pressure Relief TBV has numerous options in handling cavity pressure relief. Depending upon whether unidirectional or bidirectional flow is required as well as the type of valve configuration, we have the options listed below. OPTION 1: Unidirectional Relief, AVAILABLE ON 3-PIECE VALVES (center section with two end plates). This photo shows a slot in the upstream end plate which provides the cavity pressure relief. The seat sits on the raised face surface. When the ball is in the closed position, internal cavity pressure relieves around the O.D. of the seat and through the slot and then to the upstream pipe. 8 TBV™ CT-TBV-BALL-CV 04/10-SWP-3M PROCESS VALVES OPTION 2: Unidirectional Relief, AVAILABLE ON FLANGED VALVES, upstream relief hole in ball. OPTION 3: Bidirectional flow, cavity pressure relieving seats are also available. Inclination Limitations It is recommended that TBV™ valves be installed with Extended Bonnet within 30° of true vertical. Valves with graphite packing can be oriented in any direction. 30° CT-TBV-BALL-CV 04/10-SWP-3M TBV™ 9 PROCESS VALVES TBV™ FAMILY OF CRYOGENIC PRODUCTS (Cont.) Available in two porting arrangements: 90° and 180° operation. The 90° operation allows flow from a bottom port to be diverted to either of two outlet ports over 90° turn of the handle, but never shutting off. The 180° operation also diverts from the bottom port to the outlet ports, but uses a 180° turn of the handle, allowing flow to be completely shut off at the 90° position.
