Check that 240 volts is supplied to the primary side of the
ignition box.
Check operation of the micro switch located under the gas
valve.
Check that the micro switch retaining clip is correctly
positioned.
Check that all high tension leads are correctly connected
between the ignition pack and the ignitors.
Check that there is no damage to any of the high tension
leads.
Check alignment of the hob and gas controls to ensure
there is clearance around the switches and the hob.
Check that the gas valve is not sticking in the on (down)
position.
Check that the micro switch is not sticking in the on
position. It may be caught under wiring cover.
Check that there is no moisture in the micro switch.
Check that the wiring cover is not pressing on leads
Leaking gas; check all gas valves and joins for gas leak.
Rectify any leaks found.
Micro switch failure.
Check that the gas valve is not sticking in the on (down)
position.
Faulty high tension leads between the ignition box and the
ignitors.
Ignitor positioned too far away from burner body.
Electrodes saturated with moisture.
Cracked electrodes.
Leaking gas within or external to the appliance; check all
gas valves and joins for gas leak. Rectify any leaks found.
Leaking gas valve. Rectify any leaks found
Dislocated gas venturi and elbow. Rectify any leaks found.
