Fact Sheet
Project Purpose
The project is designed to produce an evaluation of both current public
transportation services and human service transportation; an assessment of
unmet needs, evaluate alternatives for improving service efficiency and
effectiveness, and produce a service improvement plan.
Local Agency

Study Area
Seven-County region comprised of Columbia, Lycoming, Montour,
Northumberland, Union, Snyder, and Schuylkill counties.
Project Scope
• Compile and analyze data on existing transit services and compare to
peers
• Assess unmet needs through an analysis of socio-economic
characteristics of the region, major trip generators and qualitative input
from key stakeholders and the public.
• Identify and evaluate alternative service improvement strategies
• Prepare a short-range (five years) plan with recommended service
