Holding a baby in your arms, writing a book, working on a project, enjoying a
delicious meal, chatting with friends till late at night, holding a speech, travelling,
trying out a new cure, learning an ancient language, what all these things have
in common is the sitting posture. Most human activities are carried out in a
sitting posture; it is for sure the most elegant of all human postures as well as
the one with the most added values.
Since 1964 the mission of the company Rossin has been to maximise comfort
and enjoyment of sitting, in the “individual” form of the chair as well as the
more “sociable” one of the sofa. Rossin seeks softness, comfort, health. This
search however can not take place in a complete industrialised surrounding.
The aim is not only the production of medium quality for mass consumption,
but the completion and perfection of each single piece, manufactured
by experienced hands. This choice combines the best between serial and
individual production and is complemented by the careful selection of
international collaborators, who have here the freedom to realise their projects.
The range of designer includes Luca Scacchetti, Denis Santachiara,
Martin Ballendat, Setsu e Shinobu Ito, Wolfgang C.R. Mezger, Erla Solveig
Oskarsdottir, Roger Webb, Lorenz * Kaz, Hanno Giesler and
Lepper Schmidt Sommerlade.
These professional designers do not like the idea of mass production, they
strive for perfection of the object. Personalities of such a variety can only be
brought together in one and the same catalogue through a consistent
company philosophy: the aim is not only to offer a wide range of products but
to represent cultural variety.

In the north Italian region South Tyrol the lively Italian style meets and merges
with the German more rigorous line. It is not only the place where the
company Rossin has its headquarters, it is also here that the precious human
resources are taken from: people with excellent skills, motivation and
experience in the use of the employed materials. The employees

manufacturing industry and craftwork any market can be successfully opened
up. Prerequisite for that however are basic requirements such as care for
details, exact planning of projects, perfect execution and superb taste.

Cat est un meuble d’assise comme une sculpture, qui
se développe d’un carré voûté et s’ouvre coniquement
comme une fleur. La tablette supérieure, qui penche
en avant obliquement, forme la ligne du dossier et de
l’accoudoir, qui aboutit à la partie de l’assise. Cat est un
programme de meubles d’attente élégant, charmant et
néanmoins très confortable, qui comprend un fauteuil, un
canapé 2 places et des tables d’appoint. Il s’adapte aux
styles d’architecture les plus divers et possède un haut
degré de reconnaissance de par son individualité.
Cat fait bonne figure partout où il y peu de place mais où
l’on exige quand même un haut confort d’assise et une
representativité subtile.Une nouvelle sorte de meuble
d’attente bas, qui suit l’esprit du temps et en même temps
est construit d’une manière visuellement durable.
Cat ist eine Sitzskulptur, die sich aus einem gewölbten
Quadrat entwickelt und sich dabei konisch wie eine
Blüte öffnet. Der obere Abschlussboden, schräg nach
vorne verlaufend, beschreibt die Rücken- und
Armteillinie, die harmonisch in das Sitzteil mündet.
Cat ist ein zierliches, charmantes und trotzdem äußerst
bequemes Warteprogramm, bestehend aus Sessel,
2-Sitzer und Hocker, das sich den unterschiedlichsten
Architekturstilen anpasst und durch seine Eigenständigkeit hohen Wiedererkennungswert besitzt.
Cat macht überall dort eine besonders gute Figur, wo
auch bei geringem Platzbedarf hoher Sitzkomfort
und subtile Repräsentanz gefordert sind.
Eine neue Art von zierlichem, bodennahem
Sitzmöbel, das sowohl den Zeitgeist beschreibt,
als auch visuell langlebig ausgelegt ist.
Cat is een zitmeubel als een beeldhouwwerk dat zich uit
een gewelfd vierkant ontwikkelt en zich daarbij conisch als
een bloesem opent. De bovenste afdekplaat, die schuin
naar voren loopt, vormt de lijn van het rug- en armgedeelte, die harmonisch in het zitgedeelte uitmondt.
Cat is een sierlijk, charmant en niettemin uiterst
comfortabel programma wachtmeubilair, dat bestaat uit
een fauteuil, een tweezit en bijzettafeltjes. Het past zich
aan de meest diverse architectuurstijlen aan en bezit door
zijn eigenheid een hoge herkenningsgraad.
Cat slaat overal waar er weinig plaats is maar toch hoog
zitcomfort en subtiele representativiteit verwacht worden,
een goed figuur. Een nieuw soort elegant, laag
zitmeubilair, dat de tijdgeest volgt en tegelijkertijd
visueel duurzaam geconstrueerd is.

inarcato e si apre conicamente come un fiore. Lo
spigolo superiore, inclinato verso il basso, descrive la
linea dello schienale e dei braccioli, i quali sfociano
armonicamente nella seduta. Cat è un assortimento fine
ed affascinante, ma ciò nonostante comodo. È costituito
da una poltrona, un divano a 2 posti e un pouf e si adatta
agli stili architettonici di diverso tipo. Con la sua autonomia
garantisce un alto valore di riconoscimento. Cat è adatto
ad ambienti che richiedono un alto comfort di seduta e
una rappresentanza sottile, nonostante lo spazio ridotto.
Un nuovo tipo di seduta delicato, che descrive
sia lo spirito del tempo che anche la sua longevità.
Cat is a seating sculpture which develops from an
arched quadrate and opens up conically like a flower.
The upper border is inclined and describes the line of
the back- and the armrest, which flows harmonically
into the seat. Cat has a variety of fine and fascinating
seatings ranging from an armchair to a 2-seater and a
pouf. It adapts itself to different kinds of architectural styles
but nevertheless has a high value of recognition. Cat fits
perfectly in those places, where despite little room, high
seating quality is required. A new, delicate
and low seating option which represents the zeitgeist
as well as the longevity of a seating.

verbinden sich zu einer organischen, fast erotischen

Un „netbook“ est un ordinateur portable en petit format
pour la communication moderne privée et en route. Pour
lui, le designer allemand Martin Ballendat créa N@t: un
fauteuil lounge „netbook“. Le plateau de travail et la coque
d‘assise s‘unissent pour former une boucle organique,
presque érotique. N@t est confortable, pratique et fait

Das Konzept dieses Sessels ist die Vereinigung. Wie auch
das Atom kann er einzeln bestehen oder sich mit
anderen verbinden, um neue Gestalten anzunehmen:
linear, gebogen, sternförmig...
Wie das Atom besitzt auch er eine einfache Grundfigur,
die eine komplexe und unerwartete Gestalt annehmen
kann; individuell in seinen Drehungen bilden sich ganz von
selbst neue Formen der Kommunikation.
Die atomare Dynamik dieser Sitzgelegenheit folgt einem
Trend, der die Gebrauchs- und Gestaltungsflexibilität der
Räumlichkeiten zu seiner Existenzgrundlage macht.
This chair is based on the concept of union. Like an atom it
can be on its own or it can band together with others
creating new forms: linear, bowed, star-shaped. Like the
atom it has a simple basic shape, which can take on
complex and unexpected figures and rotate individually to
find new forms of communication.
The atomic dynamics of this seating system is part of a
tendency whose fundamental principles are flexibility of
use and animation of spaces.
Il concetto di questa poltroncina è l’aggregazione, come il
mondo degli atomi può esistere da sola o aggregarsi con
altri atomi e creare diverse configurazioni lineari, curve, a
stella ecc…
Come l’atomo ha una forma semplice di base, ma che
può diventare complessa e inattesa sempre con la
possibilità di ruotare individualmente e quindi reinventare
nuovi modi di relazionarsi al prossimo. La dinamica
“atomica” di questo sistema di seduta si inserisce
in una tendenza che cerca nella flessibilità d’uso e
nell’animazione degli spazi le sue ragioni d’esistere.
Ce fauteuil se base sur la notion de réunion. Comme
dans le monde des atomes, il peut exister en soi ou se
fondre avec d’autres en créant ainsi de nouvelles formes:
droit, courbé, en forme d’étoile, ... Comme l’atome, il a
une forme de base simple, qui peut adopter des formes
complexes et inattendues et tourner en soi-même pour
trouver de nouvelles formes de communication. La dynamique atomique de ce système de fauteuils fait partie
d’une tendance qui a pour principes de base la flexibilité
dans l’usage et l’animation des espaces.

Zoals in de wereld van de atomen kan hij op zichzelf staan
of samensmelten met andere en daarbij nieuwe vormen
creëren: recht, gebogen, stervormig, ... Zoals het atoom
heeft hij een eenvoudige basisvorm, die complexe en
onverwachte vormen kan aannemen en op zichzelf kan
draaien om nieuwe communicatievormen te vinden. De
atomische dynamiek van dit zitsysteem maakt deel uit
van een tendens met als basisprincipes flexibiliteit in het

Designed to be architecturally precise, with a formal,
sharp, defined form, Court has a soft centre inviting you
to relax. A soft seat cushion and a sprung back support
provide the correct support. The chairs can be arranged
in rows or casual groups for use in reception areas,
waiting lounges and breakout zones. The chair is
supported on a minimal swivel pedestal base or alternatively a chrome tubular leg structure. A wide range of
fabrics and textures combined with colour can make the
chair sophisticated or playful.
Designed um architektonisch genau zu sein, mit einer
formalen, scharfen, definierten Form hat Court ein
weiches inneres Zentrum welches zum Relaxen
einladet. Ein weicher Sitz und ein Untergestell mit
Rückrollfeder geben den richtigen Halt. Die Sessel
können in Reihen angeordnet werden oder in ungeordneten Gruppen, in Wartesälen, in Rezeptionen oder in

Ein einfacher Würfel ist der Anfang. Durch Zerlegen und
wieder Zusammenfügen einzelner Flächen und Volumen
wird aus der Urform ein kleiner Sessel. Verchromte Füße in
den geöffneten Ecken setzen das formale Spiel
fort – Alea schwebt über dem Boden. Genauso wie das
Sofa – der doppelte und dreifache Würfel. Tische sind weitere Bausteine eines Programms, das über seine Farben
und Materialien auf unterschiedlichste architektonische
Situationen eine Antwort findet. Alea möbliert Foyers von
Hotel- und Verwaltungsbauten, den kleinen Konferenzraum, Lounges oder eine Bar.

volumes sont décomposés et recomposés pour former
un fauteuil. C’est un jeu de formes sur pieds en acier qui

een laurierboom. Dafne betekent verandering, overgang,
aanpassing. En toch is er die constant onmiskenbare
vorm, met heldere lijnen, van een tijdloze verschijning
en indruk. Harmonie van verhoudingen. Dafne betekent
liefde voor het detail, gedetailleerde grondigheid, eenheid
van uitgekozen stoffen. Naar binnen creëert de vorm
spanning. Maar aan de buitenkant staat hij voor een vast
referentiepunt doorheen veranderende ruimte en tijd.

Dafne freed herself from Apollo’s love and turned into a
laurel tree. Dafne means change, transition, adaptation
on the one hand and clear lines of timeless appearance
and style on the other. Harmony of proportions. Dafne
means love for detail, elaborate thoroughness, harmony
of selected textiles. Its shape manages to create tension
on the inside while representing a firm point of reference in
changing spaces and fashions.

Et tout de même, il y a cette forme constamment

Yuku, japanisch “weiter gehen”, ist ein schlankes Polstermöbel, entworfen um sich auch abgerundeten Flächen
entlang zu schleichen, als ob es im Raum fortschreitet,
um neue Zonen und Ansichtspunkte zu erforschen und
gleichzeitig jeder Hürde kontinuierlich und unaufhaltsam
auszuweichen. Mit seiner leichten Silhouette und den
kleinen Ablageflächen, beansprucht es wenig Platz und
scheint sogar zu schweben, indem es den möglichen
Streckenverlauf auslotet und sich durch Vielseitigkeit an
verschiedenste Raumformen anpasst. An den Sofa-Enden
besteht die Möglichkeit der Anbringung von Armlehnen
(auf 2 Ebenen) oder von reinen Ablageflächen. Das Beziehen mit elastischem Stoff trägt zu seinem
zeitgenössischen Stil bei.

fin, créé pour se développer petit à petit le long de chemins sinueux, dans une continuation permanente et infinie
qui vainc tout obstacle et explore de nouvelles zones et
de nouveaux points de vue du milieu. Son silhouet fin avec
le piètement en métal en dessous ne pénètre pas dans
l’espace, mais semble plutôt une structure flottante qui
reconnaît des chemins possibles en s’adaptant aux
milieux les plus divers. Le design comprend un élément
à deux niveaux qui peut être ajouté comme un acooudoir
courbé à la fin du canapé. Le revêtement élastique
contribue au style contemporain qui distingue ce canapé.
Yuku, che in giapponese significa “andare avanti”, è
un divano sottile creato per svilupparsi linearmente
seguendo percorsi anche curvi, come se avanzasse
nell’ambiente per esplorare nuove zone e punti di vista,
aggirando ogni ostacolo in un progredire continuo ed
infinito. Con la sua sagoma leggera e gli appoggi minimali
non invade lo spazio, piuttosto sembra in esso galleggiare
individuando possibili percorsi e adattandosi con versatilità
a varie configurazioni dell’ambiente. Alle estremità è
possibile sospendere una mensola con due ripiani che
funge da tavolino o un bracciolo. Al suo stile contemporaneo contribuisce il rivestimento in tessuto elastico.
Yuku, dat in het Japans “vooruitgaan” betekent, is een
slanke bank gecreëerd om zich geleidelijk te ontwikkelen
langs kronkelige paden, in een voortdurende en oneindige
voortgang die elk obstakel overwint en nieuwe gebieden
en standpunten van de omgeving verkent. Zijn lichte
silhouet met ondergeplaatste metalen poten dringt de
ruimte niet binnen maar lijkt eerder een zwevende
structuur die mogelijke paden herkent door zich aan te
passen aan verschillende omgevingsopstellingen. Het
design omvat een element met twee niveaus dat als een
gebogen arm kan toegevoegd worden aan het eind van
de bank. De elastische stoffen bekleding draagt bij tot de
hedendaagse stijl die deze bank onderscheidt.
Yuku, which in Japanese means “going forward”, is a narrow sofa created to develop linearly along varying curved
paths, in a continuous and infinite progression that overcomes any obstacle and explores new areas and view
points. Its light silhouette with understated metal legs does
not intrude the space but, rather, is like a floating structure
that identifies possible paths adapting to various configurations of the environment. The design includes a double
shelved unit that can be added as a cantilever to the end
of the sofa. The stretch fabric covering the upholstery
contributes to the contemporary style that
distinguishes this sofa.

Bob ist ein kompakter und gemütlicher Sessel entworfen für Warte- und Empfangsräume. Seine runde Form
kommt von der kreisenden Bewegung des Untergestells.
Als ein sehr komfortabler Sessel mit einem Rücken der
einem umarmt und Halt gibt, passt Bob in jene Räume,
wo informale Gruppenarbeit, Diskussion und Relax angesagt sind. Es gibt ihn in 2 Ausführungen: mit Bodenplatte
oder mit einem verchromten 4-Fuss-Untergestell. Bob
wurde entworfen um Spass zu machen und farbenfroh

Bob is compact, yet comfortable, designed to fit into a
whole range of breakout and reception areas within the
office. Its round shape is derived from its movement of
spinning on its base. A deep comfortable seat with a back
which wraps around and hugs one providing support, Bob
fits into those spaces that require informal group working,
discussion and relaxation. It is available on a pedestal that
allows easy rotation and a formal chrome leg structure.
Bob was designed to be fun and colourful with still a degree of formality and discipline.

a 4 piedi cromata. Bob è stato disegnato per rendere
l’ambiente allegro e colorato, mantenendo un certo livello
