The History of Hestra
For over 70 years, Hestra Gloves of Sweden has been dedicated
to creating the Þnest handwear available in the marketplace. In
1936, Martin Magnusson produced the Þrst mitts for Swedish
lumberjacks, and today, the third generation of the Magnusson
family continues the tradition.
As the sport of alpine skiing developed, Hestra focused on
producing gloves speciÞcally designed for ski enthusiasts. Over
the years, even world champion skiers, like Ingemar Stenmark
and Anja Parson, have chosen to wear Hestra gloves.
Since the establishment of Hestra USA in 2003, Hestra Gloves
has strengthened their brand awareness throughout the world.

Hestra has begun an in-depth collaboration with freeskiing
stars Seth Morrison and Anthony Boronowski. Seth and

Bill Crouse, HestraÕs Rocky Mountain sales rep, climbed
Mt. Everest for the Þfth time in May 2006. He summitted with

Glove Construction
The hand is the Þnest instrument in the human body and requires
gloves with a perfect Þt in order to work optimally. Our gloves are
therefore produced by hand with meticulous craftsmanship. A pair
of RSL Comp Vertical Cut gloves, for example, has over 100 separate
components and takes 2.5 hours to build.

Technical Features
A thin ePTFE membrane that behaves in the
same way as human skin. It breathes (i.e. it
releases excess body heat and perspiration) while
preventing the penetration of any moisture from
outside. It is a wind and waterproof material.
Gore-Tex membrane with improved breathability
(eXtended Comfort Range).
A waterproof glove insert that is composed of four
different layers. The outer material, a waterproof
membrane, insulation and a lining complement
each other and together they create a warm and
pleasant comfort zone for your hands.
A windproof and water repellant stretch material
with excellent breathability.
Triton/Entrant
Our most-hardwearing fabric used for our
Alpine Pro gloves is wind and waterproof
with excellent breathability.
Tearing Strength: 20,000 revolutions
Waterproofness: 5,000 mm water column
Proton/Entrant
A hard-wearing, water repellant nylon fabric
that we use for several of our Alpine gloves.

A very soft wind and waterproof nylon fabric with
excellent breathability which we use for our junior
and women gloves.

A hardwearing soft shell weave with 4-way stretch.
The weave is waterproof with excellent breathability. The material ensures an excellent Þt when
worn for sports such as Alpine skiing.

Army Leather
Our most-durable leather is a specially-treated
wear-resistant goat leather. This leather is
thoroughly waterproofed and has a natural
structure that provides effective protection

better, more comfortable grip.

Hestra Leather Balm is formulated to allow leather to retain its suppleness and water repellency. The more you
wear your gloves the more you should condition them. Our gloves are easily conditioned by lightly moistening
the leather with water, then massaging the balm into your gloves with a soft cloth. Dry gloves as stated below.
Drying
Gloves should be dried at room temperature. Never put your gloves in the dryer or near direct heat.
Breathable Material
Hestra Gloves uses materials, such as Gore-Tex, Gore Winstopper and C-Zone which are breathable. Therefore,
treatments that contain silicon should not be used as they will clog pores and reduce breathability.
