Hockey NSW President’s Welcome Message
On behalf of the Board of Hockey NSW, welcome to the Under 18 Girls Field State
Championships.
I’d first of all like to thank our host, Metropolitan South West Hockey Association, for
graciously providing their excellent facilities to us for this event. I’d also like to thank in
advance the large of team of volunteers who will be hard at work over the course of
the next three days – your efforts are sincerely appreciated.
Field State Championships are an excellent opportunity for players to test their skills
against talented peers from across the State, but also for experiencing the sense of
camaraderie and sportsmanship for which NSW is famous. I’d encourage everyone to
take a moment to enjoy the unique sense of community that can be found at these
events as well as the impressive display found on field.
Finally, a thank you to all the friends, family and supporters that have made the journey
to Macarthur as spectators. Your dedication to our sport is one of its greatest assets
and we hope your enjoy your time at our U18 Field State Championships.
Good luck to all the players competing over the course of the weekend.
