• Summit Racing
• The spark plug is the Rodney
Dangerfield of the hot rodding
universe. It gets no respect—or at
least very little. As performance
enthusiasts, we tend to focus on
power builders like high-flow
cylinder heads, big camshafts,
and mandrel-bent exhaust
components. Fact is you can
throw thousands of dollars
worth of speed parts at your
engine, but those oft-overlooked
spark plugs still hold the key to
making your powerplant go.

• Foret Plasma
• Plasma is the Rodney Dangerfield
of EOR, gasification, upgrading and
water treatment O&G universe. It
gets no respect—or at least very
little. The O&G industry tends to
focus on Old School PROVEN
Technologies like oxy-fuel burners,
indirect charge furnace heaters, UV
disinfection lamps(Halliburton
Clean Stream™) and world-class
size. Fact is you can throw
BILLIONS of dollars towards
World Class Size designs at your
plant. But the overlooked plasma
torch still holds the key to a
GREEN Simple, Efficient and
Energy Dense solution for coupling
EOR, wellhead upgrading, water
treatment and ZERO Air Emissions.

In 1998 Todd Foret had developed and patented a novel UV
light (US#5,832,361). However, he knew the GLASS had to
be eliminated for robust applications within the O&G,
Refinery, Petrochem and Chemical Industries. So he went
down the Underwater Welding path using 2 tungsten
electrodes. However, blowing air between the 2 electrodes
oxidized the electrodes.
While in the Wiess Energy Hall Processes and Products Hall
at the Houston Museum of Natural Science he saw the
Vortex Separator. And the light bulb came on. Use a
HYDROCYLCONE! The rest is history.

While seeking a steam source for operating the patented
ArcWhirl® as a steam plasma torch, he developed a Glow
Discharge Plasma Electrode Boiler. This non-swirling glow
discharge device allows for directly coupling to FPL’s Plasma
Torches for treating wastewater while steam reforming
stranded gas or heavy oil.
The technologies form an
Integrated MicroRefinery or GTL Plant at the Well Head.
We refer to this as Plasma Wellhead Upgrading or Plasma
Wellhead GTL.

Background
Foret Plasma Labs (FPL) is a Texas LLC, based in The Woodlands.
Kip Wintenburg, Randy Foret and Todd Foret formed FPL in 2006 to
begin marketing its proprietary plasma technologies.
FPL has
developed and patented/patent pending 4 platform technologies which
provide plasma solutions for the Water, Energy and Carbon Nexus.
Plasma Platform Technologies
The 4 plasma platform technologies with issued patents in each
platform are:
1.  ArcWhirl®
2.  PlasmaWhirl® Reactor
3.  Plasma ArcWhirl® Lean Combustion Turbine
4.  Plasma Well Screen™ SOG-D Cell

• NGK Spark Plug
• 3. Gapping
• Since the gap size has a direct affect on the spark plug's tip temperature
and on the voltage necessary to ionize (light) the air/fuel mixture, careful attention is
required. While it is a popular misconception that plugs are pre-gapped from the factory,
the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is
intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with
higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings (to
ensure ignitability
in these denser air/fuel mixtures). As a rule, the more power you are making, the smaller
the gap you will need.
• A spark plug's voltage requirement is directly proportionate to the gap size. The
larger the gap, the more voltage is needed to bridge the gap. Most experienced tuners
know that opening gaps up to present a larger spark to the air/fuel mixture maximizes
burn efficiency. It is for this reason that most racers add high power ignition systems.
The added power allows them to open the gap yet still provide a strong spark.
• With this mind, many think the larger the gap the better. In fact, some aftermarket
ignition systems boast that their systems can tolerate gaps that are extreme. Be wary of
such claims. In most cases, the largest gap you can run may still be smaller than you
think.

Saudi Arabia’s central government, seeking to curb crude oil use
internally to preserve more of the fuel for export, is seeking $109
billion of investment to build a solar industry.
Saudi Arabia may need to import oil by 2030 if the country’s
domestic crude use continues to outpace gains in production, New
York-based Citigroup said in a September report. The kingdom
depends on oil for 86 percent of its annual revenue..

radiation as well as wave energy transmitted by various
mediums and embraces electromagnetic wave energy or
radiation, sonic and supersonic waves, neutron, proton,
deutron, and other types of corpuscular radiation.
• corpuscular radiation (e.g., stream of alpha particles, electron
beam, etc.)
• The electron (symbol: e−)
• The photon is usually denoted by the symbol γ (the
Greek letter gamma)
