household purchased knitting needles by weight. Ref is No Idle Hands p 37

Paper packet says "Goldblatt's Bond Circular Steel Knitting Pin Nickle Plated. US."
So say 1920/1930s. Seller says Goldblatts was a Chicago department store chain
Paper packet says "patented packaging method". During the 1930's this brandname
was used by Lister Yarn Co. Eventually the brand name was owned by the British
Needle Co. Also a US brand Golden Fleece. (See CC 1150)

Showed Gay Lines the paper packet and we agree that the griffon on the TH&Sons is
similar to the Abel Morrall girffin. However, Abel Morrall crest also hs a trident, which

They say 'Jack-Pin Jaeger No.1 Made in England'. I don't really know anything else. I
bought these fastened together, as a pair, from a charity shop or somewhere like that. I
was under the impression that these came singly in the days when the trend was for
one large and one small. I'm sure I've had (and maybe still have, somewhere) single
Jaeger needles. I ddon't remember seing 'kingpin' but they may well hve existed here. - notes from Pat Ashford.
