SPONSORED BY TD BANK GROUP www.deaftoronto.ca A MESSAGE FROM TAD On behalf of the Toronto Association of the Deaf, I am pleased to extend greetings to everyone attending the TAD series of events during the International Week of the Deaf. TAD has partnered with local, provincial and national consumer organisations and agencies that serve Deaf and hard of hearing consumers, family members, friends, employers, service providers and government officials. We commend the organisers for hosting these events, debates and Town Hall meetings to highlight the human rights of Deaf people, employment and interpreting issues that merit attention by local, provincial and federal government authorities including key decision makers, members of the general public and the media. We appreciate TD Bank Group’s sponsorship of this TAD series of events. International Week of the Deaf is celebrated annually by Deaf people worldwide during the last full week of September. WFD’s 133 National Associations of the Deaf organise events, marches, debates, campaigns and meeting to stimulate greater efforts to promote the human rights of Deaf people throughout the world. We would like to express our gratitude and congratulations to all consumer organisations, service providers and agencies and the many dedicated volunteers who made this event possible. Please accept our best wishes for an exciting celebration of the International Week of the Deaf!
