Just How Tough Is A SKEETER?
How Strong Is Strong Enough?
Unlike other marine manufacturers, SKEETER’s “EX-CEL” composites are aerospace
derivatives, NOT just common plastic or flotation foams merely encapsulated in fiberglass. We
build the industry’s toughest hull using a combination of five types of glass (A), each one used
for a specific load or strength requirement. The resin (B) we use to bond the glass fibers and
layers together is an isothalic DCPD that has high elongation and adds strength and toughness
to the gel coat as well as having a good strong finish. The flake used in our colors is a polyflake
(C). It replaces metal flake because it resists migration through the clear gel coat for a longer
lasting smooth finish. The gel coat we use is called “Armorcoat” (D). It has a high toughness
factor and is considered the best in the industry in regard to weathering blistering.

Not only does our aluminum deck system add tremendous strength and rigidity to
the upper section of the boat, but it allows the lids to close tightly and lock
securely. Only SKEETER boats have this because of the extremely tight
construction tolerances required.
How High Are Our Standards?
Coast Guard statistics show that boats certified by the National
Marine Manufactures Association (NMMA) are five times
safer than other boats. SKEETER’s
entire product line has completed
NMMA Certification.

Ever Lost A Fish Before Weigh-In?
SKEETER knows the most important concern of a tournament angler
after he catches a bass is keeping it alive. So naturally, not just any
livewell will do. Our answer? Not one dual pump, 24-gallon livewell
(A), but two completely independent systems!
Our livewells are deep, allowing bass to stack above each other as they
do in nature. We make the inside grey (a neutral color that reduces
light sensitivity) which keeps your fish calm, reducing oxygen use. We
also include a pump out system which allows for
easy removal of your catch.
The optional Oxymax tournament
livewell system (B), exclusive to
SKEETER, uses a tiny electrical charge
to separate the hydrogen and oxygen
molecules adding 100% pure oxygen
to the water.

Are you tired of a rough, wet ride?
SKEETER’s aerospace computer technology has taken bass boat building
to a new level. As a result, the shape of our hull is responsible for the
driest and smoothest ride in the industry.
When
Is A Bass
Boat Like
An Airplane?
When its transom and stringer
system are constructed of high-test
aircraft structural aluminum. We call it
our TORQUE TRANSFER TRANSOM AND
STRINGER SYSTEM.
This unique system transfers all of the vertical
torque and energy from the engine to the stringer
system in the bottom of the boat. This virtually
eliminates stress on the transom, deck and hull sides, while
providing lift along the entire keel of the boat.
It is the strongest transom in the industry,
period. You can suspend a
SKEETER bass boat from the
engine mounting bolts!
When viewed from the front, the bow has two large, concave sections
called CHINES (A) on either side of the center keel. These areas are
arranged with STRAKES (B), and together these shapes deflect water
and spray down and to the sides of the hull, keeping the occupants dry,
while softening rough water.
REAR STRAKES (B) also provide lift and help the boat maintain a
prescribed arc during a turn. The number, size, and placement of
strakes is critical to the performance of the boat. The angle of the
strake in relation to the bottom of the hull provides the required lift,
and acts as a rail, gripping the water during a turn, yet allows the hull
to “slide” off of stumps when trolling or idling thru timber.
TURNING CHINES (D) are located on each side, at the rear of the
hull, where the bottom meets the side of the boat. The geometry of
these appendages limits the amount of heel the boat will experience
during mid- to high-speed turns.
The entire KEEL (C) of our boat has a 20º rake which allows the boat
to plane quickly, and keeps the bow down at slow planing speeds. The
center pad is the heart of the running surface. The pad’s width, angle,
and forward flair are all carefully designed to yield the best combination of speed, handling, and load-carrying capability.

he new generation VMAX outboards deliver
more power, control, and fuel economy than
any two-stroke ever made. Six sensors help optimize
ignition timing and air/fuel mixture. Proven and
reliable internal-opening fuel injectors distribute
fuel to reach each cylinder, enhancing fuel
distribution for increased power and greater fuel
economy. The water inlets have been front-mounted
and lowered on the 300, 250 and 225 hp models for
increased cooling, efficiency, and optimal set up.
Much stronger pistons forged from aluminum alloys
add durability to an engine that’s already the
toughest on the market. And, in keeping with
YAMAHA’s philosophy of developing cleaner
technology, Yamaha’s HPDI engines exceed the
Federal EPA 2006 emission requirements, and have
earned a California C.A.R.B. two-star rating for very
low emissions.
The new 300 HPDI brings added quickness to the
all new SKEETER ZX300 and ZX250, delivering
1,000 psi High Pressure Direct Injection and
acceleration with a top end speed that, until now,
you could only experience in your dreams. If

hull dedicated for the SL Fish & Ski boats. The
center of gravity is moved forward where the
majority of the weight occurs, offsetting weight
and torque while pulling a family member on skis.
In the SKEETER SL Fish & Ski, you can lift the bow
out of the water creating a smoother, dryer ride.
SKEETER realizes there is a different set of rules
for fish & ski boats. We understand your
needs–like an ergonomically designed cockpit
console (A) with a low profile windshield that
deflects the wind upward. Best of all, you don’t
have to put cushions under you to see! For
passengers, versatility carries over to the console
glovebox that keeps your valuables secure. Our SL
Fish & Ski boats are the most versatile in the
marketplace today, and we prove it by offering
features such as an easy-to-remove trolling motor
(B), bow panel trim control and optional
depthfinder (C), separate rod storage boxes that
accommodate up to a 7' rod (SL210 and SL190),
mid-deck dry storage (D), plus a large ski storage
compartment (E). For skiing, the SL comes
standard with a center ski bar (F). The removable
rear bench with large storage compartments below
convert into comfortable fishing chairs (G).
For cruising or good old fashion get-togethers, the
SKEETER SL Fish & Ski has an AM/FM CD player
(H) and optional sun pads for the rear deck.

hough engineers use words like “lateral
strength,” “aft design” and “water flow foil,”
all you need to know is that no other boat is
constructed to complement your fishing style
like a SKEETER. The ZX Deepwater series is
simply boating excellence. Most notable of
many highlights is our cockpit with a face-lift
(A). Strategically placed switch panels (B) and
lighted instrumentation combined with Lowrance Electronics gives you that edge you need
when fishing the big waters.
Staying one up on the fish requires careful
planning, and we have done our homework. Our
ZX Deepwater boats offer spacious fishing
decks fore and aft. The bow storage bays for
tackle and foul-weather gear (C) are enormous,
and the lighted, organized center rod box (D)
makes for quick access to the rig you want. Side
bays provide quick access (E) or lockable
storage (F) for rods, planner boards or your
personal items. Fish with ease while enjoying
retractable rod staze, an aerated baitwell (G)
and livewell (H), along with the coolers and
cup-holders placed for comfort.
With an attention to detail, our engineers
designed the ultimate tool for enjoying the
ultimate deepwater experience. We even included
thoughtful trailer features like backup lights (I)
and retractable ratchet tie-downs (J). Why did we
