The purpose of the chairmat
Chairmats are meant to be used under an office chair to:

These durable polyethylene lockers offer attractive
and long-lasting storage. The moulded design allows
the lockers to interlock for stability and strength. A range
of features and options including coat rails and drains
allow for versatile storage and security. Lockers can be
free-standing as the poly is not affected by moisture,
or can be fitted to stands or plinths.
