DIGITAL TV
The latest addition to the FTC product line is the Ring
Video Doorbell, which allows homeowners to monitor
the outside of their homes through wireless Internet.
The Ring Video Doorbell is equipped with a 180-degree
HD infrared camera and 2-way audio so when people
ring the doorbell, an alert is sent to the homeowners’
smartphone or tablet. The homeowners can see who is
at the door and talk with them if they wish. A motion
detector, complete with configurable zones, is also
part of the Ring. When triggered, this also alerts the
homeowner.
Finally, the camera even works at
night, and events can be shared
or rewound when the owner has
a monthly subscription to Ring’s
cloud-based server. The device can
operate off its rechargeable battery
or be hard-wired to the existing
doorbell.
And it’s all available for a one-time
fee of $199.95. Self-installation is
simple, but if needed, FTC will
install for $75.

A tribute to Eddie Clowney
It is with sad hearts that we inform our customers of the death
of Eddie Clowney, the much-loved host chef of FTC NOW’s
“Cooking on the Wild Side.” In memory of Eddie, FTC NOW
produced a special video with clips from his favorite episodes,
plus interviews with a few of the people closest to him.
You can watch the 30-minute feature broadcast, as well as reruns
of “Cooking on the Wild Side,” on FTC NOW — channel 26.
