Silent Auction Rules
1. The Silent Auction will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. on June 17, 2014 and will close in two sections at
approximately 7:30 and 7:35 p.m. Each closing bid will be certified by an Auction Official and constitutes the
winning bid. Serious bidders should stand next to the auction bid sheet until Auction Official picks up the bid
sheet. Not all bid sheets are picked up at the EXACT closing time.
2. All items and services have been donated to Japan America Society of Sothern California (JASSC) and are sold
by JASSC and not the donor. Purchasers may not ask for refunds or exchanges from the donor. JASSC and
Auction coordinators are not responsible for lost merchandise or certificates. Lost merchandise or certificates
will not be replaced.
3. All purchases are final. NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS.
4. All Silent Auction items and services must be used within the stipulated time limits and are subject to the terms
and conditions stipulated by the donors. Please note that all accommodations are subject to availability. Exact
dates and detailed conditions of stays in hotels must be arranged in advance by the purchaser with the donor,
keeping in mind that all black-out periods stated in the catalog and on the certificates will apply. All noted
restrictions and expiration dates apply. Expiration dates cannot be extended.
5. JASSC assumes no responsibility should any of these establishments be unable to fulfill your certificate.
6. In the event of a contested item, the last two individuals appearing on the bid sheet will participate in a sealed
“bid off.” This will be in written form. The decision of the Auction Official in this procedure will be final.
7. All prizes in the Silent Auction have bid sheets placed nearby. Persons bidding must include their name, bid
number, table number, phone number and bid amount on the sheet. Incorrect bid increases will be changed
by the Auction Officials.
8. Winners will be notified at their tables during the evening. Items purchased must be picked up by the end of
the evening of the event. Payments must be made by the end of the evening of the event, and may be made by
cash, check (made payable to JAS), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
9. Please note the minimum bids and bid increases for each item. Bids will be honored only if incremental bids
are in accordance with the minimum increases. Bids below opening minimum bids will be changed to the
proper increase.
10. The Auction Coordinators have endeavored to catalog and describe the Auction items correctly, but all items
are sold “as is” and the Auction Coordinators neither warrant nor represent and in no way are responsible for
the correctness of description, or genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition to represent cash value
and, once given to the purchaser will not be replaced (if lost or otherwise). No statement contained in the
Catalog or made orally at the Auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to such a warranty of representation or
assumption of liability.
11. Certificates are the same as cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Travel packages, however, are only
suggested. Should you wish to extend your stay, you must coordinate with the donor directly, at your expense.
JASSC and AUCTION COORDINATORS DO NOT MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS.
12. Neither JASSC nor Knock Out Productions shall be liable to winners for any failure, delay, cancellation,
interruption or changes to any provision of services, events or travel packages purchased which is occasioned
by causes beyond our control including, but not restricted to fires, earthquakes, floods or other inclement
weather, war, civil commotion or disturbances, strikes, lockouts, labor disputes, accidents, epidemic,
interruptions in or delays of transportation services, electrical or power failures or outages, failures or delays in
obtaining delivery from donors or manufacturers, suspension or non-renewal of the venue’s license for any
reasons whatsoever, or any act ruling, regulation or law of any government bureau or agency or public
authority. Delays so caused shall not release winners from their obligations to accept and pay for the items
purchased.
13. Items/certificates purchased at this auction cannot be sold on any internet auction or at any other event.
Certificates will be considered void if these items are sold on any internet site.

HPI Racing exclusive limited-edition 1/43 scale die-cast model
line-up now features the stunning Lexus IS F, the amazing
follow-up to the popular IS200 and IS300 models. The 'F
marquee' line of cars from Lexus represents their sports
models based on regular production cars, with testing done
around the world and at such locales as the famous
Nurburgring circuit in Germany. With advanced features such
as carbon fibre door panels and a 5.0L V-8 engine, this 4-door
saloon is able to achieve 0-60mph (0-100kph) times of under
4.5 seconds, an astounding record. Only a few thousand fullsize versions are allocated to be built each year, making this
an instant modern collectible.
This HPI model is extremely limited in production numbers because of the special high-detail resin used for the
moulds. Worldwide quantities will be in the low hundreds. HPI precision die-cast metal models are 1/43 scale,
a convenient size for any desk or display case. Incredible attention has been paid to make the shape of cars as
true to scale as possible.
Fine exterior details like radiators, disc brakes, brake calipers, mirrors, wings, exhaust, headlights, mirrors and
radio antennae combine to make the models extremely realistic.
The model has a fully painted and detailed interior, steering wheel, and dashboard. It comes mounted to a
display platform that includes a clear plastic protective case and the car can be easily removed from the
platform for individual display.
Every Lexus IS F model is made in a special resin material that allows our designers to precisely replicate not
just every curve and shape of the original car, but every opening such as door/bonnet lines and vent or grille.
Compare a resin model with a normal die-cast metal and you will quickly see the difference! Each model is
also sprayed with the actual production paint used on the real car, to give you an authentic scale
reproduction.
HPI resin models are extremely fragile and the wheels do not rotate, so the model should be kept mounted on
its display stand.
HPI resin die-cast models are made in extremely limited quantities, once gone they will never be available
again.
