Shadowclad® Ultra combines the look and
versatility of traditional Shadowclad products with
the time saving benefits of a pre-primed cladding.
Shadowclad Ultra utilises an established primer
formulation for an improved surface coating for
enhanced durability.
The primer formulation creates a more consistent
and dependable undercoat perfect for immediate on
site top coating saving time in application. The prime
colour allows the use of a greater range of top coat
colour options including film forming stains.
All Shadowclad panels are manufactured from
sustainable New Zealand radiata pine that is FSC
certified. Shadowclad is manufactured under a third
party audited quality control programme, with
EWPAA certification and BRANZ appraised as a
cladding material.

Manufactured from extruded aluminium, the
Shadowclad ® Flashings range is purposely designed
to compliment Shadowclad panels used in exterior
applications.
Shadowclad Flashings are available in either a
natural anodised finish (silver colour) for immediate
installation, or mill finished allowing you to
powdercoat any desired colour finish.

Shadowclad®
Ultra features a factory applied exterior
grade primer suitable for use with most paint and film
forming stain systems. Using a unique powder coating
process on the panel face and edges means Ultra primed
panels can be immediately top coated on site.
Coating features no solvents or VOC’s means we are
helping to reduce air pollutants.

Time saving can be achieved when preparing and prepriming on site is factored in.

SHADOWCLAD ® NATURAL
Shadowclad® Natural is an uncoated panel suitable
for use with penetrating stains, film forming stains and
paint systems.
EXTERIOR CLADDING
H3 treated Shadowclad coated with stains or paints
(regardless of colour choice) will meet the requirements
for 15 year minimum durability.
Using dark colours with an LRV of less than 40% and
NOT adequately maintaining the surface coating,
increases the risk of aesthetic related issues such as
face checking.
Shadowclad Natural panels can also be clear coated
when used in internal dry applications. In internal
dry applications the use of untreated Shadowclad
is recommended.
