As our season here winds down
while our two other parks begin to
gear up for Summer, we want to
wish all of you a Happy Mother’s
Day and a great Memorial Day
Weekend.
Everyone here had an Eggcellent
Easter weekend with Egg-A-Thon
races, Duck Waddle races, and 260
eggs and 25 chocolate bunnies
hidden in the park for the egg and
candy hunt.
There’s a saying that April
showers bring May flowers and if
that’s true, then we should have
some really nice flowers in May
because we have had a lot of rain.
Of course, not everyone is leaving
us. We have a hardy group of desert
lovers who will stay with us all
Summer long and be here to greet
the Snowbirds who begin returning
After all the activities our campers
enjoyed fishing in the river, playing in
the clear spring-fed creek and
hanging out together on the river
Spring has brought us storms and
tornado warnings but the good thing
about it is it’s camping time again.

in October. Activities all over our
valley do indeed slow down during
the next few months but each year
bank until DJ Baby Louis cranked up
the music at the pavilion. Both young
and old boogied down to all the
variety music.
Who's ready for Summer? We sure
are! Toasting marshmallows over the
fire, swimming in one of our pools,
fishing, tubing or canoeing in the

more and more events seem to be finding a home here
during what is our low season.
Last month two gigantic,
world famous music
events garnered most of
the attention. The
Coachella Valley Music
and Arts Festival in Indio
drew over 500,000
attendees over its twoweekend run. Following
that was the Stagecoach
Festival, which with over
50,000 attendees is the
highest-grossing festival
centered on country
music in the world.
Meanwhile, we’ll be spending our Summer making sure
the campground is ready for the Winter season. We’ll
be working on improved Wi Fi, a dog run and other
improvements to enhance the beauty and functioning of
our oasis in the desert.

Start making plans for Memorial Weekend. It will be here
before you know it. The band Junk Mail will be here to
entertain us. We will also have the pool open that
weekend along with golf cart poker, drive in movie and
other activities. Call and make you reservations soon, I’m
sure we will be full that weekend. We are all hoping for
good weather. The 4th of July will be here before you
know too. The band for that weekend will be Variety
Pack.
