Tenpin Bowling is a sport that can be enjoyed by all Australians regardless or
age of ability. Tenpin Bowling Australia is committed to making our sport
accessible and inclusive for everyone - to make sure Tenpin Bowling is the sport
of a lifetime.
TBA is works closely with local centres and state associations to provide
welcoming and inclusive environments in all registered bowling centres. Your
local bowling centre runs programs where you can learn to bowl, with
experienced coaches, participate in leagues with bowlers of all abilities.
By nature, the sport is easily adaptable. This is can be done by using adapted
equipment including gutter rails, balls with handles, ramps and rails for the blind
and vision impaired participants. .
Tenpin Bowling has an easily to follow participation pathway that provides
opportunities for new bowlers and bowlers who have the ability to
represent their State and Australia at National and International events.

THE TENPIN BOWLING PATHWAY
FOR BOWLERS WITH A DISABILITY
International Competition:
Tenpin Bowling is competed at International
Level. Opportunities exist for bowlers to
represent Australia at events like the
Deaflympic Games, Global Games & Blind
World Championships.
National Competition:
Bowlers can represent their state at the
annual TBA Disability Championships, Junior
National Championships or Masters events.
State Development Programs also operate
for elite bowlers.
League Bowling:
League is a great way to meet new
friends & is the most common form
of bowling. Leagues can be
mainstream or with other bowlers
with a disability. League are run at
all centres.
Introduction to Bowling Program:
Bowling centres offer learn to bowl programs
for new participants. These programs
introduce new bowlers in the skills
associated with bowling & are taught by
experienced coaches.
