Calgon Carbon forms a Singapore – based marketing subsidiary, Calgon Carbon Asia, serving customers in Korea,Taiwan, the People's Republic of China, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and India. 2002 Calgon Carbon Corporation expands in Asia – starts up a manufacturing plant in Datong, China, and value-added operations in Tianjin, China.
