Ein Labyrinth, ein Traum, student project, displays the same
graphical labyrinth in two different media: An analogue, map-like
presentation, exhibited at the HBK Rundgang, allows the viewer to
track the paths of the characters via icons. The internet version
accessable at jfml.eu/labyrinth enables the viewer to follow the
sequences of the story

Auf diese beiden berühmtesten Vertreter ihrer Gattung soll hier zur
Verdeutlichung der Formsprache von apokalyptischen Prophezeiungen etwas detaillierter eingegangen werden:
Die prophetischen Teile des Buches Daniel stützen sich wahrscheinlich auf die frühjüdische Apokalyptik und berichten von einem
Traum Daniels, in dem vier monströse Mischwesen dem Meer
entsteigen, schreckliche Verwüstungen an Land, Mensch und Tier
anrichten und »vermessene Reden«7 führen. Dann hält Gott von einem flammenden Thron aus Gericht über die Wesen und sie werden
entmachtet, zerstückelt und verbrannt. Anschließend steigt eine
Gestalt, die wie ein Mensch aussieht aus dem Himmel herab. Die
Prophezeiung wird anschließend so gedeutet, dass die vier Monstren
für vier Königreiche stehen nach deren Ende die ewige Herrschaft
des Guten beginnt und für immer bleibt.8
Auch die Offenbarung des Johannes spricht von vier monströsen
Tieren, diese beten allerdings Gott an, der auf einem von Regenbogen umgebenen Thron sitzt. Das Lamm Gottes, das aussieht wie
geschlachtet und sieben Augen und sieben Hörner hat, öffnet eine
Buchrolle mit sieben Siegeln. Mit dem Brechen der ersten vier Siegel
erscheinen die vier Reiter (Abb. 4) der Apokalypse: (Anti-)Christ,9
Krieg, Hunger und Tod. Bei der Öffnung des fünften Siegels fragen
die Seelen der Gefallenen, wann Gott ihnen Gerechtigkeit widerfahren lassen wird. Mit dem Brechen des sechsten Siegels wird die
Sonne schwarz, der Mond blutrot und die Sterne fallen vom Himmel,
der verschwindet »wie ein Buch, das man zusammenrollt«.10 Inseln
und Berge verschieben sich, und arm und reich verstecken sich in
Furcht vor Gott in Höhlen. Dann verhindern vier Engel an den
vier Seiten der Erde das Wehen der vier Winde und ein weiterer
Engel gibt den Gläubigen ein Siegel auf die Stirn, damit sie von der
Katastrophe bewahrt werden. Beim Öffnen des siebten Siegels wird
