Rules and Regulations
The contest begins on September 1, 2015 and ends on November 13, 2015. All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm EST on November 13, 2015. All mailed entries must be
postmarked no later than November 13, 2015. Late entries are not eligible. Hand delivered entries will not be accepted.
Eligibility: In order to participate in the Inspired by Fabricville Sewing Contest and be eligible to win one of the prizes, the participant must be a Canadian resident, 18 years or older and have
the basic sewing skills needed to make a garment. Participant cannot be a professional sewer or designer nor a full-time or part-time sewing teacher who earns a living by sewing or teaching
sewing. Participant must create the item that is the subject of the entry with no assistance from others*. Items will be judged on workmanship, level of detail, creativity and the item’s overall
design as shown in the photographs. Employees of Fabricville, their advertising and promotional agencies, their independent organizations and members of their respective families and people
domiciling with them are not eligible.
Participation requirements: Participants must create their garment with fabric purchased at Fabricville between September 1 and November 13, 2015.
Participants must:
• Fill out an entry form
• Create a garment eligible for one of the five categories
• A minimum of 3 photos including a close-up of a detailed area on one side
• Send a proof of purchase for the fabric bought between September 1 and November 13, 2015 used and shown in the entry photos
• 75% of fabric used in the entry must have been purchased at Fabricville between dates specified
HOW TO ENTER
Online: Complete an entry form at www.fabricville.com/en/services/contest and upload a minimum of 3 photos of your item (see requirements). Choose a category in which to enter your
item and answer all the questions. Scan and upload your proof of purchase as required. All online entries must be received by 11:59:59pm EST on November 13, 2015. Click the “Submit”
button to officially submit your entry. Once submitted you will receive an email from Fabricville confirming your entry.
By mail: Download an entry form at www.fabricville.com or pick up a form at any Fabricville location, attach a minimum of 3 photos (see requirements), your proof of purchase as required
and mail it to Inspired by Fabricville Sewing Contest, 9195 Charles de La Tour, Montreal, Quebec H4N 1M3. Entries must be postmarked no later than November 13, 2015. Mailed-in photos
should be no smaller than 5˝ x 7˝. Hand delivered entries will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified. Fabricville reserves the right to refuse and disqualify any entry
for which the item does not correspond to any of the costume categories listed on the entry form, or includes images deemed offensive or inappropriate. Entries will be visible at www.fabricville.
com within 48-72 hours of receipt.

If entering more than one item, whether or not they are in the same category, complete separate entry forms with separate photos.
Example – if entering a child costume and a prom dress, do not have them in the same photo.
PHOTO REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 3 / maximum of 5 photos are required with the entry form, including a close-up of details.
Uploads must include a photo of the front of the item, the back and a close-up of details. The article of clothing must also be photographed on a person and not on a mannequin or hanger.
Photos submitted at www.fabricville.com must be in .jpeg format cannot exceed 5MB each and no smaller than 5˝ x 7˝ (1500 x 2100 pixels). Mailed photos should be no smaller than 5˝ x 7˝
(12 x 17 cm).

Selection of Winners: The contest will take place under the supervision of Fabricville. A panel of sewing experts will judge all eligible online and mailed-in entries and select winners based
on workmanship, level of detail, creativity, and item’s overall design as shown in the photographs submitted with each entry, as well as the information provided on the entry form. The list of
winners can be obtained at www.fabricville.com after January 22, 2016.
There will be one Grand Prize winner who will receive the following:

There will also be one finalist per category (5) plus a people’s choice award. The following prizes will be randomly distributed among the 6 finalists.

Announcing a Winner: Only the selected winners will be notified by email or telephone. To become a winner, the selected participant must have read and complied with the contest rules
in their entirety and agree to all terms and conditions. They must affirm that they created the item that is the subject of the entry with no assistance from others. They must confirm that all
information supplied in the entry is valid and correct and confirm that the entry information and photographs submitted with this entry can be used by Fabricville to promote the Inspired by
Fabricville Sewing Contest 2015 and any future promotions without limitations and without additional compensation.
Redeeming the Prize: Prizes will be delivered to the Fabricville location nearest to the winner. If a winner is unable to pick up their prize at a Fabricville store or prefers to have it delivered,
then any incurred shipping charges will be the responsibility of the winner.
*Sewing patterns may be used. Advice or help may be sought, but the garment should be made by the contestant. Example: You may ask a friend how to best install a zipper, but you should be
the person who actually installs it.
