A very thin application of Teflon (Part number 755.9243) on both sides of the edge and the cutter, makes trimming considerably easier. Notice: do not get any Teflon on the bonding side. Due to the different settings of the edge banding machines it is absolutely necessary to carry out a test with the required band profile. Aluminium edgings should preferably be glued with PUR hotmelt adhesive. Aluminium edgings are only available as complete rolls. The untreated surface of the Aluminium Edging is then degreased, initially using acetone and glued immediately with Construction Sealer 60 (Part number 740.9171, colour grey). To be able to mill the edging flush, first it needs to be sprayed with Teflon oil as a lubricant.
