Option A: Bulls picked up at the sale or within a week of
sale day will receive a $100 off per bull

Option C: Bulls may be left at the farm free of charge
until May 1. After that, a $3.00/day fee will apply after
that and bulls will then need to be picked up or delivery
arrangements made with the seller.

The Next Generation sale group reserves the right to collect 100 doses of in-herd semen from every bull in the offering. This is to be done at the new owner’s convenience
and the seller’s expense.

Welcome to the 3rd Annual ‘Next Generation’ bull sale. We feel fortunate to be joining with Black Gold Simmentals and Little
Willow Creek Simmentals again this year as they are great people to work with. This sale is becoming one of the premier sales in western
Canada to find fullblood genetics in numbers as well as quality red and black purebreds. For the 3rd annual sale we will be offering the same
consistency, quality, and uniformity throughout the whole offering as in other years past. We feel this set of bulls may be the most consistent group yet. We strive to bring
you, the customer, a set of bulls that will meet your needs as great-working, sound herd bulls.
The bull pen is very strong this year. Standout 42Z continues to impress us with the pigment, hair coat, length of spine, scrotal development, performance
and just overall consistency he reproduces in his calves. His progeny top our bull pen again this year. Adding to the power of our past herd sires, our newly acquired
Anchor D Moloka’I and Rendezvous 560A also offer some different pedigrees and very useful bulls for your evaluation. They have done very well for us and both of
their pedigrees exhibit calving ease as they were mainly used on first calving females. Along with our fullblood bulls, we have a great set of purebred red and black
bulls that offer much potential. Our bulls have been fed a TMR ration of corn silage, alfalfa/brome hay, pea straw and a Masterfeeds bull development pellet as well
as a chelated mineral.
The cattle market remains strong and the future looks bright within the cattle industry. Never has it been more important to buy top quality bulls to improve
your cow herd, add those extra pounds in the fall, and to produce females with capacity that are feed efficient. You will find a quality set of bulls to add traits like

topped, square hipped type of bull.
His Apollo dam is a strong uddered,
good producing female. 38C’s full

to the great commercial program
of Windmill Stock Farms (Doug

Shakedown27C is an attractive, stylish son of Westgold Standout 42Z. He has the great
colour pattern of his sire – that dark pigmentation with big, wrap around goggles. He is a
strong topped bull with a stout butt end on him. 27C comes from a deep ribbed, good uddered Laredo female. I would like to see the pen of replacements sired by 27C. Shakedown
also carries an awesome hair coat that he will pass on to his progeny. He was also a member
of our pen of bulls where we exhibited them at both Edam and Agribition where they

RWR Gambler 5C Gambler 5C is a dark red, long bodied son of one of our older producing cows. His mother, IPU 33M, always brings in a good one. She herself still has a very
good udder and passes that trait down to her females. A 33M daughter calved just the other
day and is a spitting image of her mother. 5C has longevity bred into his pedigree and will
calve very well.

32c is a nice dark red, heavy haired bull that comes from a terrific dam. He is a very eye
appealing bull that puts it all together.32c is a very loose hided easy moving bull that has a
lot to offer. He will pass on his great colour pattern to his progeny as his sire and dam are
both heavily pigmented and dark cherry red. A full brother who was also very good sold to
the great herd of Tom Knudsen at Fort Kent, Ab. The maternal side of this bull will be very
strong.

They don’t make them with much more pigment, hair, and hip than this boy. We think quite
highly of this bull and are excited to see what he can do for his new owner. 19C is just one of
those bulls that has ‘the look’ and really catches your eye. Mothered by one of our favourite
Wallace daughters, he should produce females with very tidy udders. He possesses a great
hair coat and very good testicular development. Prime Time looks great on the move and really meets his stride freely. He is an athletic bull that should breed well. We feel this guys has a
lot of potential. His dark, cherry red colour is what we strive for and he’s a bull that we wish

47C is a useful type of bull. Very correct in his makeup and has a big top and wide hip. 47C
travels well, and has a good foot under him. He is out of a very nice uddered IPU Romano
156X daughter. 156X was a high selling bull we purchased out of LaBatte’s bull sale a few
years ago. He worked well for us and sired bulls with substance and females with tidy udders that milked well. 47C is a great herdsire candidate.

RWR Ironhorse 36C is the kind of bull that will be very versatile. He could be used on
Char X cows to produce wicked buckskin calves or used to produce very strong Simmental
replacement females to put back into the herd. He is mothered by a very power oriented
female and holds many of her traits. Super long bodied, big topped and nice headed - he’s
the kind of bull to add weight to the scale total in the fall.

RWR 46C has a great hair coat, travels out on a great set of feet and legs and has a pigment
pattern to tie it all together. His dam, TFL 35Z, has been a good female for us, very nice
uddered and puts all she has into her calves. Hoegl Livestock purchased a full sister to 35Z
through the Source sale in 2014. His progeny should be pretty predictable, hardworking
females and fleshy high performing steers!

Where to begin with this guy? A February 27th calf that is now our 2nd
highest performing bull of the pen. I
feel that is quite an accomplishment
for a young calf. 82C has a WPDA of
4.16; pretty impressive for an almost
March bull. Red Dream’s dam is a
beautiful female we purchased from
Skor Simmentals. 406X is attractive
to look at and possesses a terrific
udder. We were lucky enough to have
purchased back half walking rights
on a son of hers that was high seller
in our 2015 bull sale to Waldgren
Farms, and his first calves are looking awesome! 82C is not only a
performance bull with a wicked hair
coat, he is very maternally oriented
as well.You will want to keep every
single one of his daughters as they
should be very, very good. We used
Standout 42Z on a few of our red
purebred cows as an experiment and
we are very glad we did. It really
clicked. Be sure to come check him

Hawkeye 78C comes from a strong genetic background. Standout 42Z x Crossroad
Radium makes for a pretty good lineage. 78C’s dam, X-onalee, has produced well for us
over the years. She is a moderate framed female that milks hard while still maintaining a
nice udder. A full brother to 78C was a high seller in our 2015 bull sale that went to Holt
Colony. We toured Holt Colony this summer and what a great program they have there.
Look to 78C to become a very useful breeding bull that will produce uniform calves with
that little extra style.

RWR 88C is another son from a Standout 42Z red purebred cross. He is long spined, deep
ribbed, and has a very good foot under him. Barracuda is mothered by a honest Crossroad
Slapshot daughter. She has produced many good bulls and females for them. This bull
would work well on a group of black females to produce black baldies to top the market.
He is smooth polled, which is a nice attribute, but still maintains some ruggedness and

A younger bull, but what he gives up in age he easily makes up for in quality. 85C is a very
good bull, very sound in his makeup. He is a long spined, good hipped bull that catches
your eye. He comes from a great momma cow that has been an awesome producer for
us. She has bulls working at Christensen Land & Cattle as well as a bull at Carlton Land &

This bull is quite a chunk. He has a big top and great hip on him. 31C’s dam, IPU 47P, is
one of our favourite cows and just works no matter how she is bred. Cornerstone is a new
bull to us that we purchased a semen pack on from Crossroad Farms. The Cornerstone
females are very good with nice, tidy udders. Rebound has a sturdy foot on him and gets
out and moves well. 47P is due to calve any day and she still looks awesome for her age.

RWR 7C is a very attractive, stylish
son of our new herdsire, Rendezvous
560A. 7C is a big topped, big hipped,
stout bull. From a young age, he
always had this build and it was easy
to tell that he would mature into the
powerhouse that he is. His sire, Rendezvous 560A, was used on a handful
of heifers and a few choice cows the
first year, and we are very happy with

23c is a long spined deep ribbed hairy son of WFL Identity. We used identity on a handful
of first calving females with great success. 23c should calve very well but will maintain
some performance in his calves. His dam is a very nice blaze faced female going back to
the Crossroad Radium 789U bull. She has just calved and has gave us another bull calf that
has great potential. He is smooth polled and will turn into a very honest, soft made, useful

20 COMMERCIAL HEIFERS
Commercial Heifers
Once again, we will be offering groups of 5 open commercial replacement heifers. These heifers are very similar to the
females that we had on offer last year. They were born in late April and May of 2015. These heifers come from the heart of
our commercial herd and will make great broody, easy keeping, and highly productive females. We are breeding many of the
same sires into our commercial females as we do on our purebred/fullblood females. All heifers will be up to date on their
vaccines and have been raised on a full herd health program. They have also been fed a development/ backgrounding ration
of pea straw, alfalfa/brome hay, corn silage and 5 lbs of a Masterfeeds grower pellet. New this year, 1 pen of red angus X
simm heifers all out of our first calving females to showcase what they can produce.

first 8A calves came we realized his very good calving ease, they came surprisingly small
at birth; with the thickness and depth of 8A, we weren’t expecting the calves to come that
easy. 33C’s dam is a young Jahari 24P daughter going back to a good Stulberg bred 166L
female. We owned Jahari 24P with the McFadyen’s at Waseca; both herds have several 24P

LWC SPARTACUS 20C is a very interesting bull, out of our new SPARTUCUS 8A herdsire; and the
LWC MISS RIO GRANDE 48W cow that produced our high selling female at the 2015 Source Sale,
selling to Darren, Josh and their family from Red Willow Ranch. The 8A bull has many features we
like, starting with his feet and legs; he has really good feet, and moves freely and easy; he also has a
tremendous temperament. The 48W cow family has some of our very top bloodlines, Su Rio Grande

Whisper is a full sister to the calving ease specialist Crossroads Radium. She has been
successful in our flush program with 12 calves born in 2015. All of her bull calves are selling
in this sale, with one of her heifers selected for Friday Night Lights last fall. Whisper is

We are offering 4 full sibs to Black Gold Epic, who is doing a great job at Anchor D Ranch where his first sons averaged over $13 000
last spring. Danny Skeels commented that Epic is now becoming his #1 bull. The four Colossal sons that are selling are all moderate
framed with good temperaments. 78C would be the most powerful out of these four pen favorites. The other two “Stuey” sons have
been admired for their great hair coats and the amount of style they possess. 69C was a pasture favorite all summer, with his much

It’s quite rare to find a bull with
this much muscle shape and overall
stoutness. 66C is massive hipped, big
bodied, and has had that “herd bull”
look all summer and fall. He is a maternal brother to our high selling bull
last spring to the Theroux Family of
Homestead T Simmentals at NotreDame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba. A
maternal brother is also working for
Wayne Fleming at Irma. We cannot
say enough about 38W and our plan
is to add her to our flush program.
She’s one that has a very nice udder
with pigmented teats and has a near
perfect big foot. But you really have
to admire this cow for the overall
depth of body and mass she possesses.
