He further challenged the classroom officers by borrowing from Luke 12:48 and telling them that, "to whom much is given, much is expected." JUNE 30 Lay Mission Partners show how eager they are to change the world. And it all begins with little steps. Little steps like that of the PAASCU Accreditation. Aspiring broadcasters battle it out in the in-house script-writing competition facilitated by coaches Mike and Miguel. JULY 1 The Grade School Department of Don Bosco Technical Institute-Tarlac formally launched its annual Nutrition Month, which was spearheaded by Ms. Aurea C. Perez, GS Science Area Head, and all Science and Health teachers. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE - TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 JUNE NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 3 Mr. Sherwin Rosales, an alumnus from the class of 1993 and now working with the PDRRMC, tells everyone to be always prepared and ready especially in these times of disaster and calamities. JULY 4 Don Bosco believes that a school without music is a school without a soul, for music aids education. It is an effective way to obtain discipline, morality, and help good feeling. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 4 Mr. Marco Escalona, from the class of IVRua and a participant of the 2014 Korea Exchange Program, shared the lessons he learned from the trip. JULY 5 Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) student council and class officers of the intermediate level had their leadership formation with the theme “Game of Thrones: Talent, Honing, Reinforcing One’s Natural Abilities Towards Excellence and Service to Others” held at Fr. Mahoney Audio Visual Room that was organized by Mrs. Lerma A. Arador, the school Assistant Principal for Student Affairs and Discipline. JULY 7 Here in Don Bosco, we say NO to fraternity. Here in Don Bosco, we say YES to FAMILY and FRIENDSHIP! DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE - TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 JUNE NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 7 Ms. Alice Solano, the school registrar, shared some vital info regarding the proverbial rise of DBTarlac's enrollment. JULY 7 Mr. Sherwin Rosales, PDRRMC and DB'93, gives a colorful walkthrough of conducting fire and earthquake drill to teachers and employees of DBTarlac. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE - TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 JUNE NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 7 In line with the National Disaster Awareness month, students are taught basic knots using paracord ropes. These same ropes, which could be converted into bracelets can be the students' last means of survival in times of disaster. JULY 7 The Rector reminds everyone of the CBCP's mandate to foster a healthy atmosphere in Catholic schools where family and friendship is prioritized over fraternities. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE - TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 JUNE NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 8 Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) Grade School Department formally launched its English campaign bearing the theme “Express. Impress. Be Understood. Speak Good English.” held at Fr. William Balocco Gymnasium as spearheaded by Mrs. Maria Irmina Jesusa S. Lagasca, GS English Area Head, and all English teachers. JULY 9 Club and classroom officers pledge their oath as they take upon the responsibility as leaders of the ship. Don Bosco encouraged the organization of such groups and classes with respective leaders at the forefront for the smooth running of the house. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 10 Mr. John Albert Mañalac, from the class of IVVigano, addresses the high school department by sharing the valuable lessons he learned from the immersion among the aeta communities last summer. JULY 10 Group works, when done right and guided properly, can develop skills integral for the growth of the learner. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 11 Mr. Charles Darrel Calma, a participant of the Southeast Asia Youth Leadership Program, shares the importance of caring for the vulnerable groups in our society. He encourages everyone to be empowered so as to empower. JULY 12 English, Science and Filipino teachers took some time off from their dayoff to update and upgrade their technical knowhows and thus, enable them to inspire learners through modern methods and sophisticated skills. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 13 DBTarlac Pastoral team takes part in the LAHAT MAGAARAL PROGRAM of the Tarlac Mountaineering which aims at encouraging school children to attend classes with more zest and zeal with useful school and hygiene kits. The first community to receive such blessing this year is the public school pupils of Nambalan, Mayantoc, Tarlac. JULY 13 DBTarlac Alumni from the class of 1991 sponsors the 4:30pm Mass this July 13, 2014. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 14 Various alumni have been giving back to their alma mater in one way or another. Fr. Rector encourages everyone to do the same - even those who aren't capable of doing so in a big way by simply paying it forward and applying in their daily lives, all the valuable lifelong lessons they learned and earned from Don Bosco. JULY 15 Duck, cover, and hold. These were the three things on the minds of the students, teachers, staff members, personnel, and visitors who took time to practice the earthquake drill. Confidence that is gained through various experiences if only one would grab the oppurtunity. JULY 17 During the launching of the English campaign, Bosconians are urged to acquire flair in rekindling English by being confident in seizing oppurtunities that come their way. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 18 Mr. Lou Hendrix Pangan, one of the 4th year students, shares how his immersion experience among least of our brothers became the turning point of his rollercoaster high school life. He has frequented the Discipline office due to various infractions with the policies but he promised to turn things around and become a positive influence to the Bosconians and he began by volunteeting to give the afternoon talk. Rector challenges each Bosconian to be men of virtues. JULY 22 Concelebrating in our EPC Mass for the month of July are Fr. Eson Munar, SDB, our GS Assistant Principal for Pastoral Affairs, who is also celebrating his birthday today, and Fr. Rusty Dizon, SDB, who is a graduate of this institution - class of 1997. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 22 Parents Council classroom officers and executive board took their oath of office as they begin anew in serving and leading our parents towards a fruitful partnership with the school in the attainment of its vision-mission. JULY 22 Fr. Joji Inocentes, SDB, addresses the Bosconians and challenges them to be apostles among the apostles. Lay Brother Carmelo Martinez, SDB, a missionary to Pakistan, also threw a challenge to the boys, "kung gusto mong maging mabuting Salesyano, maging mabuting estudyante ka." DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 23 Amidst the busy and rainy days of July, Lay Mission Partners shared a moment together to celebrate the Birthday of their companions. JULY 24 The 24th of the month reminds us all of Don Bosco's devotion to Mary Help of Christians. We bow down and bask in her blessing and intercession. DON BOSCO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – TARLAC CITY JULY 2014 NURTURING A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE JULY 24 Ma'am Myrna Dimas, our version of Myrna DefensorSantiago, never fails to remind everyone of an old adage but still relevant and highly needed in our society. JULY 24 Congratulations to the class of 1976, led by their batch president Ed Dizon, for holding a successful fundraiser. The said batch pledged to donate a classroom (worth approx. 500K) which the school will be needing 2 years from now - when we have our first batch of grade 11 students. He also challenges each Bosconian to grab every oppurtunity that comes their way for it is another shot towards catapulting oneself towards becoming successful. JULY 26 During the Saturdays of July, Fr. Rector, brings various groups of Lay Mission Partners from different departments to Manaoag to attend Mass and have a simple bonding on the way back to Tarlac. Abel, our Principal, reminds everyone through St. John Bosco's words, to maintain the cleanliness in the campus and prepare for the upconing exams. JULY 28 The Rector, Fr. Jay, shares the 212th degree that makes a diference in one's work SERVICE. Spearheaded by the Science area, students brought various food for everyone's enjoyment. JULY 31 Nilunsad ng DBTarlac ang Buwan ng Wika sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakitanggilas ng mga miyembro ng SocioCultural club. Sinundan ito ng pagbabahagi ng mga guro ng MAKABAYAN ng paliwanag ng tema, alituntunin sa kompetisyon, at prebiyu ng mga darating pang mga gawain. Lalong naengganyo ang mga Bosconian ng bigyan sila ng payo at paalala ng punong-guro patungkol sa pagkakaroon ng katiyakan sa pagsasalita at wastong paggamit sa wikang Filipino.
