Pluri Tubular Bag
Pluri Tubular Bags is one of the most important component of positive plate of Lead Acid Storage battery
and plays vital role for its performance. So taking the above aspect into consideration, KETEX takes
special care during the manufacture of Pluri Tubular or Multi Tubular Bags. While designing the product
we have taken into consideration the particle size of battery grade active material of 94% oxide content
which varies from about 53 micron to as low as 35 micron. While identifying the raw material and optimization
of process parameters, we have considered the hazardous nature of chemical reaction, such as electro
o
chemical oxidation, continuous exposure to battery grade sulphuric acid of 1.3sp.gr. at 70 C.
O
Special weaving technique, improved coating mechanism and better fibre engineering takes care of
change of the pressure caused due to change of the volume by 90% in the positive plate and 160% in
the negative one of active material due to change of its molecular weight from 273 to 303 and vice versa
during utilizing period of better, and also can achieve maximum utilization of active material through the
wall of the bag.
KETEX manufactures woven gauntlets in domestic and export variety with uniform pore size and
impregnated with specially developed acrylic resin.
KETEX has also recently launched Non-Woven Gauntlets here in India with the latest manufacturing
technology imported from Europe. The Non-Woven gauntlets available are now only in 6.2mm, 8.0mm

Scrim Fabrics
These lightweight open mesh fiber glass fabrics are widely used in the construction industry for roofing
membranes and wallboard sealing tapes and masonary crack repairs
Industrial Fabrics
Strength contributions of fabrics combined with ease of fabrication of composites has resulted in the
acceptance of composites in many industries. Many aerospace/aircraft components, ranging from radome,
wing-to-fuselage fairings and wing flaps on exteriors to entire cabin and cargo hold interior sidewalls, are
made of fiber glass fabric reinforced thermosetting resin composites, where high strength, low weight and
part reliability are necessary design criteria.
Fiber glass fabrics are coated with extensive applications in recreational consumer products, such as
fishing rods, golf club shafts, vaulting poles, skies, bows and arrows, protective helmets, hockey sticks
and antennas, among others. These take advantage of fiber glass fabric's contribution to strong lightweight
flexible products.
The uses of fiber glass fabrics in the manufacture of high strength, corrosion resistant pipes has the
advantage that large sections of pipes can be quickly made compared to other pipe manufacturing
processes.
Woven fiber glass products continue to find widespread applications in both the marine and tooling
industries.
Geotextile & Architectural
Fabrics
Geotextiles are basically permeable fabrics typically made
up of Polyester, Polypropylene or even Fiberglass in certain
cases, which when used in association with soil, have the
ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect or drain.Geotextiles
have been innovatively used to protect the fossil hominid
footprints of Laetoli in Tanzania from erosion, rain and tree
roots.
Architectural fabrics made up of Polyester or Fiberglass
yarn can be used to advantage in many civil engineering
applications including roads, railway tracks, embankments,
reservoirs, canals, silt fences etc.. In India fiberglass fabrics
have been used in great effect for waterproofing of roofs
and re-inforcement of earthquake resistant pillars.
KETEX manufactures Geotextiles as well as Architectural fabrics made out of fiberglass & Polyester for various
application. KETEX fabrics have been used widely in waterproofing treatment, soil stabilisation & crack repairing.
The fabrics are available in width of 1500 mm to 4000 mm width and GSM between 450 to 2000.

High Silica Fiber Glass Fabric
Texturised Fiber Glass Fabric
There are many application areas where conventional glass fabrics do not posses adequate bulk or
thickness to meet an application requirement. Consequently KETEX developed a tri-dimensional bulky
fabric with filling capacity and lower density than conventional glass fibre fabric. Improved flexing properties
and softer feel, texturised fabric is beneficial in a wide spectrum of end uses.
Texturised fibre glass fabrics are widely used for welding blankets, hot handling gloves, expansion joints,
stress relieving blankets etc.
KETEX texturised glass fibre are strong replacement for asbestos. They are much stronger physically
and comparable to asbestos without any health hazards that are associated with the manufacture and
use of asbestos products. Further KETEX yarns are comfortable to handle without itching and discomfiture
due to significantly reduced filament diameter and superior binder / overspray technology used in the
manufacture of KETEX products.
High Silica Fiber Glass Fabrics manufactured by KETEX are made from texturised glass fabrics. These
fabrics are made out of specially sourced yarn which are then passed through high pressure jet of air.
These silica glass fabrics are also heat treated for controlled shrinkage during actual applications.
The high silica glass fabrics are also available with various types of coatings. The coatings include graphite,
fire retardent, acrylic and vermiculite finishes.
Depending on the weight, finish applied on the fabrics, it finds application in various fields of high
