Mission
Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia is a higher education institution
that is founded in the social economy. We educate competent people to
respond to the world’s dynamics and contribute to construction and diffusion of knowledge. We also support the country’s competitive development through its organizations and seek the improvement of quality of
life in communities influenced by the social economy that originated us.
Vision
By 2022, we will be a teaching/research university recognized as one of
the most important higher education institutions in the country. Our activities will be oriented toward excellence and our processes will be certified nationally and internationally. Our human staff will be competent
and will be supported by an innovative management model based on our
own physical and technological infrastructure. We will be committed to
the construction of areas for personal and professional development for
the University community and we will be opened to the world.

Institute of Social Economy and Cooperativism
It is a national institute that helps to
strengthen culture, cooperative practice and solidarity economy through the
development of research, education and
social projection of universities, at a national and international context.
Research
This Institute contributes
to the generation, management and the dissemination
of scientific knowledge aimed
at the development and innovation of solidarity economy
through research networks.
Education
It leads educational thinking on social
training as a contribution to collective
transformation. It integrates approaches,
learning environments and innovative contents for the development of relevant skills
to university professionals, communities,
organizations and local companies.
Solidarity entrepreneurship and social innovation
Through solidarity entrepreneurship and social innovation services, some activities are developed to allow the creation and consolidation of associative articulated sustainable and developed companies from the Colombian regions.
