Welcome to Tahiti
Tahiti is surrounded with Ocean and and our people started kayaking on the Pacific Ocean more than 10 years ago.
During those years, we have participated in International surf ski races mostly in Australia, San Francisco, Dubai and Singapore.
Our affiliation with ICF and the organisation of the 1st Ocean Racing World Championship in July 2013 in Portugal, we, the
Tahitian Kayak Federation (FTK) and the Country of Tahiti Nui have thought of going forward in term of International Racing
Organisation and also aligning ourselves with ICF & IVF partnership and OCA’s promotion of kayaking in our small Oceania
Islands Area.
For that, Tahiti Nui has handed to ICF a Bid document to host the ICF 2015 2nd OCEAN RACING WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIP on October 3rd, 2015.
Last March 2014 the ICF Board of Directors have awarded Tahiti Nui the priviledge to host October 3rd the 2015 2nd
OCEAN RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
April 5th, 2014, the Executive Board of the tahitian Kayak Federation have fixed the date of October 3rd 2015 for the downWind
of that great World Event.
Tahiti, the Oceania Continent & Islands Kayak/Ocean Racing Community will remain hoping to see your expertise on our Pacific
Ocean.

(IJSPF) - Pirae Tahiti
 youth and sports formation,
 In addition to Administration Offices, the IJSPF also
offers : basic accommodation for high level athletes,
rooms for 2 to 8 persons with bath room, VIP Rooms
with TV, small refrigerator, living room etc., restaurant,
meeting rooms, Fitness Center, amphitheatre, WIFI
connection;
 policy for High level sports programs,
 Accommodation upon availability.
The IJSPF, created in 1980, is the Country’s Public
Sports Department responsible for Youth and Sports
to provide :
 medical check ups of all Elite Athletes and
 accommodation for large sport and youth events.
 The Head Office is situated just out side the
Capital of Papeete, on the East coast in the
Commune of Pirae.
Accommodation at the Congregation
at King Pomare’s Tomb Arue, Tahiti
The Athletes' Village will be located on an 3-acre site
next to the King Pomare’s Tomb on waterfront district of
Arue. The Village will be the Championship-time home
for 1,000 athletes, coaches and team officials, and will
incorporate a full range of conveniences and amenities.
 The congregation site will also be that of the boat storage.
 Ideally located less than 2 kms from the TahitiNui 2015’s
headquarter.
 Shopping mall and restaurants close by, accessible by foot.
 The Village will be a safe environment for all residents and
visitors, Etc…

Aside from the competition, for some paddlers, this gives
