Riversands Incubation Hub is a ground-breaking initiative with the scale to have a real impact in
building small businesses, creating new jobs and alleviating poverty.
At Riversands we are inspired by a vision of a South African economy growing and thriving through
the creation of a large number of successful small businesses whose ownership reflects SA’s
population demographics, creating jobs and economic opportunity for all. At capacity, the Hub will be
home to 150 majority black-owned small businesses with 300 more in the off-campus programme.
I’m pleased to say since we opened our doors in 2015, we’ve welcomed some incredible entrepreneurs
on campus. We boast a wide spread of industries and currently have over 90 high-potential blackowned businesses who call Riversands their home. Through this SME Showcase, you’ll get more
details about these wonderful businesses we have on campus.
SMEs are key to shaking off the country’s growth shackles, but to grow and become sustainable,
they need your support. At Riversands, we act as a bridge between small and big business while
helping corporate partners deliver on their enterprise development strategies.
We provide a seamless solution for enterprise and supplier development. In
addition, we ensure that your spend is maximised and channelled towards
developing strong businesses.
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to partnership; we
provide straightforward sponsorship packages right through to whitelabelled enterprise development programmes. Some of our most
interesting projects are those that began as a sketched out concept
in response to a partner’s procurement objectives. It is incredibly
gratifying to see these projects spring to life – with the introduction of
willing and creative entrepreneurs.

business – founded in 2013 by friends
Solomon Mashita and Sinkie Mashiane. The
company specialises in engine management
systems, auto diagnostics, road side
assistance as well as fleet management,

It recently introduced electronic security
systems (including CCTV systems, access
control systems, intercom systems, gate
automation and alarm installations) to cater

by Lukas Sebopetsa from Diepsloot 10
years ago. Popularly known as Mash ICT, the

access control systems, sound installations,
graphic and web design, Wi-Fi installations,
computer repairs and maintenance as well
as cellphone repairs. The business targets
residential and corporate clients, government
departments and the retail sector.

Lechabile Technology is an Information
Technology (IT) company specialising
in hardware and software services. The
company is also involved in IT training and
consulting and caters to SMEs and the general
public. Driven by his passion for IT, making
a difference in the lives of others as well as
training and mentoring, Zainul Nagdee founded
the company over 10 years ago with a number
of business partners. But it all came crashing
down when the global financial crisis hit in
2008. Not one to back down from a challenge,
he has decided to revive the company on his
own – a decision that’s added much fulfilment
to his life.
