It is hard to believe this school year is over.
The 2011– 2012 year has been very successful:
filled with fun, fellowship and fundraising.
We hosted a “New Families Luncheon” after
the start of school. Our new families met
other moms, learned more about our school
and allowed us the opportunity to answer any
questions they had.
The PTF hosted WarriorFest on October 15.
It was an exciting fun filled family day where

everyone came out and
enjoyed live entertainment,
a talent showcase of our
younger students, an
ultimate Frisbee
tournament, inflatables,
games and wonderful food
DONATED by Rx Catering.
The Pigskins & Paintbrushes
Auction was held on October
22nd. Items for bid included
art created by students,
special time with teachers,
classroom art projects,
school experiences such as
librarian for the day,
getaways and other exciting
live and silent auction items.
Together, both of these
events raised $75,000 for
our school!
In April, we hosted our
annual Grandparents’ Day!
Grandparents’ Day raised
$22,761. We were able to
purchase about 1,000 new
books for our elementary
and middle school libraries
and renew the elementary
Accelerated Reader
Program.
We also have other
fundraisers, such as the
“Whip it Up Warrior Style”
Cookbook created two years
ago and is still a great gift
idea! We organize and print
a school directory, and of
course we collect box tops
for the Box Tops for
Education program.

When EL students arrived at
school on “Meet the
teacher” Day, their school
supplies were sitting on
their desk! Parents that
purchased them through
PTF at the end of the
Previous school year had no
worries! We had almost 70%
participation last year. We
received rave reviews and
are excited to offer this
service again for the 20122013 school year for both
elementary and Middle
school!

We got really excited over
Christmas when we have
the pleasure to present all
staff with a Christmas Gift
and this year, we handed
out about 200 fleece
jackets with the LRCA logo
while they enjoyed hot
cocoa and warm cookies.
Then in February, we have
Staff Appreciation Week
where we treat our staff
to specially planned
lunches each day and sweet
treats.

Father Daughter Dance
in April for our 3
through 5 graders in
the “50’s” theme. It was
a blast from the past!
The money raised from
this event is used to do
something special for
the elementary straight
off the Elementary
Principal’s wish list!
