I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering and supporting our
product range of TAS and other goods.
TAS is an acronym for Tactical Assault Systems and is proud to bring this great
innovative system to the market. After trial and error we have focused our range on a
variation of the “Weave and Tuck” category with a holding stud on the end. This has
allowed for the development of a simple to use system of MOLLE and PALS compatible
equipment that will allow all scouts, cadets, hunters, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts
to benefit from a simple to use modular building weight bearing range of packs,
harnesses, pouches and other load bearing devices.
At TAS we are proud of our achievements and will continue to work hard and diligently
in continuing to produce improved load bearing systems. We thank our retail business
partners in their invaluable support and feed back in allowing us to work towards
creating the best range of products we can for the growing market.
Below is a brief explanation of MOLLE and PALS
MOLLE (Military)
MOLLE is pronounced like the feminine name “Molly” and is an acronym for:
Modular
Lightweight
Load-carrying
Equipment.
MOLLE is currently used by the United States Military among others and is the term now
used to define current generation of load bearing equipment being utilized by the
modern military and is derived from the use of PALS another acronym meaning: Pouch
Attachment Ladder Systems. (Rows of heavy-duty nylon stitched onto a vest or area of
pack etc that may allow for the attachment of pouches accessories etc. The MOLLE and
PALS system has become the standard for all quality modular military gear.
MOLLE was first introduced into the US military in 1997 and evolved through a series of
trial and error R and D, which eventually led to the widespread issue to military
personnel post September 11 2001.
MOLLE systems are currently used by military and private security in Iraq and Afghanistan.
