Virginia is one of the top apple producers in the country
(5 to 6 million bushels annually), so it was only a matter
of time before cideries made their mark in Loudoun.
Enjoy bourbon-barrel aged hard ciders made with
nontraditional fruits and hops, which create sophisticated
flavors. Try a tasting at one of these great cideries, and make sure to
celebrate Virginia Cider Week each November ciderweekva.com.

the Norton.
Throughout the countryside more than 40
wineries and tasting rooms are intertwined
along country roads, nestled between horse
farms and historic estates.
Many of our boutique-style wineries thrive on creating an intimate
and relaxing experience for visitors, as our winemakers believe
wine tasting is as personal as wine making. Loudoun’s winemakers
are judged every year during the Loudoun Wine Awards, an event
which showcases the depth of quality wine being produced in
the county. To read more about the latest award-winning wines,
